It looks very much like X-32 with side intakes.

The optical perception made by the shape and smaller side view of tail fin tend to make people think J-20 is enourmously large. If you cut away the tail fin and paste one from J-10 or J-11, you will find the changes in optical illusion.

J-20 is large but it is normal for a heavy weight fighter, and should have agility similar to J-11/ SU-30.

I don't know and don't really care how long J-20 is exactly. But I do know its design reflects a big change in PLAAF's strategy, that is, it turns to offensive now.
