The last companion of Sheikh Omar Mukhtar, Abdul-Razaq Bu Al-Motarabiah Jilkhaf, died in east Libya on Sunday.

Jilkhaf died at the age of 112. He took part in many battles against the Italian colonists who occupied Libya in 1911.

Damn dude, what it must have been like to fight next to such a legend. Such a shame his last days were in his countries weakest moment.

Damn dude, what it must have been like to fight next to such a legend. Such a shame his last days were in his countries weakest moment.

Heroes like him should serve as an inspiration and role model for the current and future Arab generations in particular fellow Libyans. He was the last one that could tell his stories in person. From now on we can only rely on historians and what has been saved. This is the circle of life.

Our Libyan brothers and sisters should become a constitutional monarchy. This would hopefully unite the waring parties.

The Senussi's are very popular across all of Libya and also would have religious and historical legitimacy.

The anthem was already reintroduced in 2011.
