Look how everywhere in the world where there is a Muslim community, they receive a much harsher treatment compared with others. Kashmir is a contemporary example for this. Muslims there speak out their rights. Anyone who is informed of what Kashmir has gone through, knows what Muslims of Kashmir express is nothing but truth and justice. Those who silence them have an unjust cause. Those who attack them are the ones who are doing the wrong action. Sadly the world watches all this in cold blood.

~Ayatollah Khamenei, May 25, 1990

For the Islamic Republic of Iran, the issue of Kashmir is an issue of humanity and Islam since the Muslim people of this region are clearly subject to oppression and tyranny and we have always expressed to the government of India our abhorance towards what is being done to the Muslim people of Kashmir and we will continue to express the same feelings in various circles.

~Ayatollah Khamenei, September 11, 1994

We hope that the issue of Kashmir will also be solved in the best way which guarantees the rights and interests of the people living in this region so that they will be provided with peace and comfort.

~Ayatollah Khamenei, April 12, 2001

And yet India is one of Iran's biggest trading partners.

I really don't understand why Iran has to always lie and pretend they "care" for their fellow Muslim's. Their practices clearly conflict with what they say.

Saudi Arabia is not the "leader of Muslim countries". There is no such thing.

Also, that means jack all. Does India have a military base in Saudi Arabia? No. Is India part of Saudi Arabia's NATO-like alliance? No. Did Saudi Arabia ask India for troops during the Gulf War or Yemeni war? No. Saudi Arabia prefers Pakistan by a long shot.

Iran clarifies stand on Kashmir

Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi clarified on Tuesday that Tehran's stand on the Jammu and Kashmir issue remains unchanged.

Kharrazi said it was for India and Pakistan to resolve the issue through direct talks, taking into consideration the rights and sensibilities of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad before leaving for Tehran with President Syed Mohammad Khatami on Tuesday evening, Kharrazi said Iran's views on the issue are well-known.

Reminded of the statement made by an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman in Tehran, that the issue should be resolved within the framework of the United Nations resolutions, Kharrazi contended that it was a misquotation. "It is true that there are resolutions adopted by the UN, but basically this issue has to be resolved through direct talks between India and Pakistan," he said.

Your Other statements are from 1990 and 2001.

As for yesterday's statement,it doesn't change the fact that Iran consider it a bilateral issue according to Shimla agreement.

It doesnt matter; we've been there and done that - its a routine matter for us.

That same country and all of the Muslims countries openly declared their support for Pakistan's stance on Kashmir a week ago during OIC's conference.

Iran also consider it Human rights issue as Khaminie said,
Agreed. But substantial part of Kashmir also falls under Pak especially Shia Baltistan.

Like Shia Kargil and Laddakh on our side. You can google their opinion.

why should i google, if u are so sure why dont just agree to free plebiscite under UN commission?

The reason you should google it because you know nothing about UN resolutions.

What does the resolution say?

1) Pakistan vacate it's forces from J&K(including Gilgit-Baltistan).

2) India takes control of J&K and establishes law & order.

3) A Plebiscite be conducted only after conditions 1 & 2 have been met. The plebiscite be conducted regionally (Seperately for Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit & Baltistan).

Don't take my words, just go through UN documents.
