When Jews living peacefully in their ancient homeland are targeted for murder, the Israel warrior builds a defensive army to protect life.

A few days ago, after spending Passover in Israel with my family, I brought my eldest son close to me and placed my hands on his head (he’s taller than me).

We had traveled to Israel to spend the holiday with him because the IDF, where he is a combat soldier, would not let him leave the country. It was amazing for our family to spend a full week with him when most of the time we get 10 minutes to speak to him from the field.

Knowing he was returning to the Golan Heights, where he is just across the border from the Iranian-funded monsters of Hezbollah, I invoked God’s blessing upon him: “May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord shine his light toward you and be gracious to you. May the Lord life his countenance toward you and grant you peace.”

I reminded my son that Hassidim never say goodbye, because they are constantly in the process of meeting. It was much harder for his mother to say goodbye to her son and see him off in his olive green uniform.

But as he departed I grabbed him by the shoulders and said to him, “There are three levels in devotion to a cause.

The first is, God forbid, to die for a cause, martyrdom. The Jewish people has had way too much of that already. You must stay as far from that as the sun is from Pluto. The second, much higher, is to live for a cause. But the third and the highest are not just to live but to fight for a cause. And you are a part of it.”

A new kind of Jew is now inhabiting the Earth. It is the Jew who is fed up with being subject to a hatred he has never earned and malice which he does not deserve. It is the Jew who knows he has done nothing to warrant the world’s enmity. It is the Jew who knows he killed no one’s god, stole no one’s land, poisoned no one’s wells, drank no child’s blood, and is the victim, rather than the perpetrator, of genocide.

For too long we Jews have developed a surrender mentality.

If six million Jews die, it must be because we were sinful.

We didn’t observe the Sabbath. God punished us.

If Israel is hated around the world, it must be because it’s doing something wrong. It’s occupying another people. It stole the land from the Arabs, making them pay for Jewish suffering in the Holocaust by colonizing a darker skinned people. And if Jews are blown up on buses or stabbed in the streets of Ra’anana, it’s because of West Bank settlement policy.

John Kerry himself said so, as did Peter Beinart in a debate he and I had in Tel Aviv.

But we dare never remain passive. Our organization, The World Values Network, pummeled Secretary Kerry in a full page ad demanding he stop justifying terrorism against Israelis. We exposed Peter Beinart for the lie that Israelis die because of Jewish olive groves in Beitar.

I just published my new book The Israel Warrior, invoking all of us to take a new path.

When six million Jews die, the Israel warrior shakes the foundation of the heavens demanding divine justice. We are guilty of no sin. We deserve long lives. And we demand that the God of Israel protect us.

When Jews living peacefully in their ancient homeland are targeted for murder, the Israel warrior builds a defensive army to protect life.

Yes, I know, it was the Jewish people that gave the world the notion of peace. I am well aware that Judaism says that peace, not war, is life’s highest value and that God’s very name is peace.

But as King Solomon said so wisely in Proverbs, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven… a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.”

On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, just 71 years after the crematoria were silenced, we declare that so long as Iran is allowed to threaten the Jewish people with annihilation, there can be no peace. So long as Hamas fires rockets at Jewish nurseries, there can be no peace. So long as the Palestinian Authority incites its citizens to stab pregnant Israeli women on the streets of Jerusalem there can be no peace. And as long as BDS calls for the economic destruction of the Jewish states on the world’s campuses, there can be no peace.

Throughout the world there is a global onslaught against the Jewish people. Israel, the Middle East’s only democracy, has remarkably become the single most hated country on Earth. The Israel warrior takes no pride in having to fight.

He, like King David before him, prefers a harp and lyre to a sword and shield. He, like the Maccabees before him, prefers to light candles to dispel the darkness then fling arrows at invading Greek armies. The Israel warrior does not today, and has never in the past, erected a monument to a military victory, the way that Rome did with Titus’s and Constantine’s arch.

But for all his reluctance to fight or revel in the glory of combat, the Israel warrior will not shirk from a battle that is imposed on him. He will fight back. Jews will not glorify martyrdom. They will not walk into gas chambers.

I showed Samantha Power, the American ambassador to the UN, that her famous advocacy for R2P, Responsibility to Protect, has its foundation not in the Christian New Testament, which encourages a love for one’s enemies, but in the Hebrew Bible, specifically in this week’s Torah reading, where it states clearly, “Thou shalt not stand idly by the blood of thy neighbor.” (Lev. 19:16) Last week I traveled to the Golan Heights, the Vale of Tears, where we were escorted by Israel’s greatest living war hero, Avigdor Kahalani, who led the fight in this, one of the greatest tank battles in human history.

The War broke out at 2 p.m. Israel time on Judaism’s holiest day. Four hundred Syrian tanks faced 40 Israeli tanks in his sector alone. Kahalani summoned his soldiers and told them they are the only obstacle standing in the way of Syria taking over all of northern Israel. Then, before he left, he told them, “You must eat, you must break your fast,” and with that he took a bite out of an apple. Because in Judaism everything falls before the value of human life.

We uphold life, we fight for life, we cherish life.

Most of the men he spoke to would be dead 48 hours later. But Israel, through their sacrifice, would live.

There article looses it from the very first line. "Ancient homeland" like they were there throughout history. Isreal stole the land in 1948 and continue to do so. Stealing and being peaceful don't go along together.

.
All your 'biblical' references point to you originating from Egypt and modern day Iraq. It is the ancient homeland of the Canaanites and other previous semites who built it up, and introduced naval trade routes in the area. They had a much better culture too, the Jewish Hebrew culture was very strict and degrading of non-Jews. I do not believe God values any land more than the other, as that has not much to do with the purpose of the 'test' he put humans to. I value this land because it is ours, and should have been ours during the modern era, if it wasn't for a scheme/ploy taking place behind the scenes.

Western Jews turned the land into something non-unique, they just borrowed Western culture. They have no culture, unlike the local semites. They borrowed Arab cuisines as well, and claim it as theirs. The only difference from the West, is that they permit religious supremacism, allow Jews to form a religious 'settler' movement which is used as tool to advance interests in the West Bank.

He's a brainless anti-Islam and Anti-Pakistan zionist terrorist supporter, what do you expect from him

'Hezbollah monsters'
'Die for cause of martyrdom'
'It is the jew who knows he has done nothing to warrant the worlds enmity'

Not sure why Solomon is publishing, what seems to be a very personal article, that is targeting Jewish audience, to an audience that can't relate to any of this. Nor do I agree with the notion that Jewish people face global enmity. Anyway, maybe Solomon can tell us what we are supposed to get out of this article.

:lol: i was thinking of posting this article wonder why OP didn't posted it :azn:
It's a good article, but apparently its contents are over the heads of many here. (The headline is click-bait.)

If you can't be specific or rest your labels on lies, what can people here expect from you?

Well, it is a challenge for a Pakistani to trumpet Zionism as a just cause and "Palestinianism" as something foul and disgusting. But I say that's the step Pakistanis have to take to rid their own society of murderous militarism - fascism, really.

Not sure why Solomon is publishing, what seems to be a very personal article -
Today is Yom Ha-Zikaron, when Zionists honor those who have fallen in the cause. As Pakistanis have no direct knowledge of Israel yet seem to constantly compare themselves with the Jewish State this illumination is appropriate, yes?

Pakistanis' education and culture is full of this stuff. Lies that slime Israel and Zionists can flow freely in Pakistani schools because truths that could correct them are forbidden as these "challenge the ideology and principles of Pakistan, and/or perspective of the government of Pakistan." link.

I know that, that's why I don't understand why u post such articles in this forum, it's clearly not educating them.
As for lands, Jews fought a defensive war in 48 and 67 and conquered lands while those wars.
West bank counts as a disputed area just like kashmir, cause it has been conquered from an occupier - which was jordan at a time.
Arab palestinians never owned the lands, they lived there, but they never had ownership or a state in that area.
Instead of accepting the 2 states solution in 48, they declined and went to war and the consequences hunt them to this day

Some of the Pakistanis here are truly ignorant about this. Those that learn have the choice of switching sides, staying quiet, or knowing that we know they are antisemites for their slanders. Because of the social and professional barriers they may not yet be able to openly acknowledge the truths we write, but they will know them, nonetheless. Even if they choose to repeat the same lies over and over.

I have no horse in that race. I see the situation as it is and know the history. Can you swear to your mother and accept it right here that you are not aware of this fact that the foundation to the idea of Zoinist Isreal in the land of then Palestine was not around after world War 1 and it just happened after world war 2 the way you suggested that arabs got up and waged the wars against jews who were residents of europe on the first place. If your answer is you don't know then I would suggest read the history again. If you say I'm wrong then sir I would say you are lying.

Sir Pakistan is not promoting itself as the greatest democracy in the middle east and blackmailing the whole world with this theory of the only democracy in the middle east. Atleast Pakistanis are not bombing unarmed civilians with f16s and coming out with thumping the chest that how macho we are. You know the reality of the so called democratic Isreal. Tel Aviv is not the whole Isreal and doesn't represent the Isreali menatality. The stone ages menatality also exist in Isreal and that stone age idea is behind the existence of Isreal. Don't give me lectures about Pakistan.
Idea behind the holy land of Jewish people in my eyes is a stone age before Christmas idea. It's this very stone aged idea that laid the foundation of Isreal. That stone age idea every Isreali believe in and every Zionists believe in. This idea is also being sold to Americans in their churches about the promised land. And you will find no one else but a Zionist behind this stone age idea called Isreal.

wtf?
Palestine is a name given to Israel by the roman empire
the region was conquered and controlled by the british mandate and wasn't sovereign state.
their was never any muslim indepedent state in that region of Israel, and it was rather controlled by empires untill 1948 when the state of Israel was formed
