No, Tous is now a small town some 20 km North West of Mashhad urban boundaries...

Separate cities are: Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Yazd, Chalus, Nowshahr, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Mashhad

Taft is also kind of a city.. small though

I recognized seven cities/places : Tehran, Shiraz, Persepolis, Yazd, Isfahan, Hamadan, Mashad.

On top of those, I recognised "Caspian sea" and Kermanshah (though I know there is simply a Kerman as well on other side of country...though both have zoroastrian significance I think). I believe Kermanshah was the capital of Persia at one point under the sassanids.

Does the name Kerman hold a meaning @padamchen ?

Iran is issuing e-visa now.......and no entry/ exit stamps.

Young ones who travel abroad regularly for work and business do not want an Iran stamp on their passport.

It makes things hugely difficult for them. Lots of delays. Lots of new levels of checks and questions. Lots more documentation to be provided (to unimaginable levels ...).

Things do not move till you pull some serious strings. And not everyone has the reach to those strings ....

The 60s and 70s were the small mom n pop shop immigrants.

My mom's sis went over in the làe 60s. Pan Am ...

Multiple uncles. One a surgeon (naval). CA. Architect. These are all highly educated professional immigrants.

The Hindus are much the same.

The demographic is different in Australia and the UK. Agreed.
