This time around some well-seasoned opponents have lined up to take on the might of the Govt.

I might be wrong here but the system that has taken root in Pakistan over the last decades is geared for the elected to make money and exercise power. It's all about sticking your snout in the gravy train and supping it.

Imran Khan threatens the very system because his motivation is not money. All the political class have united to turf out IK - who only managed to narrowly form the government thanks to the establishment.

I think the establishment is still behind IK but the opposition have all rallied because their existence is at stake. IK took all of them and his rigourous approach only managed to unite what are in fact die hard historical rivals. IK should have perhaps aimed at only one group.

Now they have ganged up and are using their considerable financial power and promise of lucrative positions to buy out PTI members. This is nothing but brazen corruption circus being played out.

Yes, such events happens in all vibrant democracies but that is always over some policy, POLICY differance. Here there is no talk of any policy but simply crude power being sold and bought. It has no bearing on the people of Pakistan but its all about lining the pockets of the political elite with Bhuttos/Zardaris, Sharif leading from the front.

Imran Khan needs to declare Martial Law and become the Chief Martial Law Administrator like Bhutto.

Change the constitution to presidential system, abolish current semi-independent republics and create 32 provinces. Ban all corrupt politicians for life. Then hold new elections. All this can be done within a year. Obviously, the generals will have to decide if they want to see Pakistan prosper or not.

I have a feeling that at least this time this movement will not succeed and IK will survive. Just a gut feeling, God knows better.

The deep state will allow to exert pressure but not to the point to break it completely. Even though the outside powers have activated their 5th column fully.

No confidence motions are a normal political exercise in democratic countries. In the case of Pakistan, it's a completely different matter. Since our political history no one has ever been dislodged by a no-confidence vote, the sitting Govts always have unlimited tools to quash the motion.

It would have been an ideal situation to let the govt complete its full tenure, but since our inception, no PM has ever completed its full tenure. If the move succeeds the new incumbent govt will become very unpopular in a very short space of time, unless they have a good strategy to deal with the KHATARNAK Imran Khan.

Whatever the outcome, the next two weeks will decide our political direction. I hope sanity will prevail, things will settle down amicably and there will be no turmoil on the streets.

So my two cents: If not succeed, Zardari will not find any inch in Pakistan to hide.

It's obvious to everyone that the current system is not working. All the criminals are still in power. That sub-human Zardari, who belongs six feet under the ground, is in control of Pakistan's largest city. What kind of law do we have now? It's the law of the jungle. There's the British India Act of 1860 in force in Sindhudesh.

Exactly Ik is the only national leader that Pakistan has. My gut feeling is that he won't lose here. This whole fiasco of no confidence has increased general public support for IK. People may come out .

I also don't think establishment would want MNS/Zardari back tbh. They're both security risks so that's not going to happen.

The problem is the system doesn't work. We need to change to presedential system and divide into 30 provinces. IK needs to be authoritarian. Enough is enough.
