Looks like KIZILELMA is meant to be a test bed for TFX project as an added capability...

A real prototype (2 are produced) is shown in the following video from TEKNOFEST in Samsun, Turkey. According to CEO Haluk Bayraktar:
  • 1st flight in 2023
  • Multiple variants in different speed regimes
  • Weapons (indigenous A2A, A2G etc.) are carried inside the fuselage
  • 5-6 hrs of loitering time
  • Will take place of F16s
  • Low cost mass production for both domestic and international markets like TB2, Akinji etc.
  • Stealth features

*TEI is working on domestic turbo-fan engines for KIZILELMA. A mock-up has been demonstrated.

According to Selchuk Bayraktar:
  • From the cost, availability, maintenance, training, pricing etc. POV KIZILELMA (armed with AESA, EW, BVR etc.) vs F-35 ratio is 10:1 in an air battle
  • The value of KIZILELMA is for only flying is that of a smart phone is for only calling. The real value lies in its intelligence, multi tasking, technology, versatility, functionality, adaptability, revisability, renewability, programibility etc.
  • The real trick lies in remaining ahead in the execution curve vis-a-vis the opponents
  • Pak folks are being trained for Akinji which is sold to 4 foreign countries
  • Etc.


*Will PAF leave such an opportunity to make the Indians cry in agony?

The aircraft exhibited at the festival is the fuselage that will make the first flight. This variant, in one way, aims to be a pioneer in unmanned fighter jets, as well as a minimum logistics footprint and low cost of initial ownership.

However, 2 more prototype are on the production line. (No photo has been shared yet) One of aircraft most likely belongs to the twin-engine variant. The twin-engine variant will represent the capability to fight against 5th generation jets in all directions, and will become a fully deep-strike capable that capable of being multirole-fighter thanks to its high lift capacity.

Regarding the 10/1 rhetoric: What this means is that there will be 10 UCAVs against the 1 manned jet, that will act like a single intelligence in the air with their autonomous fleet capabilities.

Let's say the manned jet carries 4 missiles at in-hull weapon stations, let's say it see first and shoots down 3 of these UCAVs, but there is still 7 UCAVs left for each manned jets. The cost of 10 UCAVs that carrying BVR/WVR equal to 1 F-35. There will be a pilot you have trained with 15 years of effort on the F-35, this aircraft has to have sophisticated life support systems, in-cockpit systems, and again very sophisticated countermeasure systems to protect the pilot. This does not mean that 10 unmanned aircraft will cost 1 F-35 in any case. What is meant to be conveyed: A new paradigm is emerging in air-to-air combat that can saturate or even paralyze the defense of manned jets.

Here is the 100% indigenous turbofan engine solution from TEI. This prototype is for 6k lb thrust, which can be easily graded up to the 10K lb+ regime by adding additional stages at the exhaust to cater for a single engine KIZILELMA. Two of them can power the double engine KIZILELMA or HURJET. The ultimate objective is to manufacture 35K lb engines for the NGFs....

This core platform can be used in the naval applications too, especially unmanned surface ships. And, it can be transferred into the turbo-shaft variation to power 11-ton ATAK-2 combat choppers. All bases are being covered by HIS PERMISSION. This CEO folk was promoted to the executive VP level at the age of 35 by the GE engine's R&D division for a reason. He knows how to get a turbo engine job done....

Cry the Imperialists cry, and cry hard. No matter how much you try you can't circumvent HAK with ZULM...

By the by, the West is removing the embargoes as Turkey is going for the production of the turbo engines of all sorts....


*I am pretty sure the Pak strategists are heaving tons of sighs of relief. The "Greater Hindutva" project would remain unfulfilled for the Turkish folks are again rising.

My apologies as I'm not too familiar with this platform in development. But I thought it was supposed to be all internal bay to maintain stealth characteristics?
