The forgotten bomb shelters of Manchester

Far below the streets of Manchester city center lie dormant and vacant of life the hidden arches. The Manchester arches originally designed in the early 1800's at the height of Manchester's industrial revolution were transformed into Air raid shelters for citizens and business/community leaders at the heart of the city during the second world war.
