Nobody care much about american books or music or their silly movies the only thing people who like the american games and children and teens

As for English it's just international language only few countries speak it as native compare it to chinese which have more than 1 billion native speakers

Also English is popular because of the british empire and it's also not even the native language of the Americans who didn't even have a common language

Not even Trump is shutting down immigration regardless of the rhetoric. Immigration may change, but it will always be a fixture, be it legal or illegal.

It cuts both ways. Only reason america is able to do it is bcos of english. But it will still not replace the local lingua wrt culture.

When hollywood movies were opened up in India there was a fear it will destroy the local industry. But the local industry is performing better and going global. Hollywood was never able to replace the local movie industry.

Instead of thinking that america dominates, we can say that asian cultures have more capability to accommodate ,absorb and enrich their culture. That always been the case since the muslim invasion till now.

Never said Hollywood was replacing local culture, but it does dominate. Bollywood might be global, but it will be second to Hollywood because much of it is not in English.
