on the face of it these events look like a coup for US foreign policy in Latin America, with historically anti-American governments in Argentina and Cuba either falling to a friendlier opposition or looking for rapprochement with the US (and vice versa). Time will tell how Venezuela goes, but this is an opportunity the US shouldn't waste for the benefit of American economic interests.
