What's new

The Crisis in Ukraine Is Not About Ukraine. It's About Germany “The primordial interest of the United States, over

This is when ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel is missed.

She knew and read the US games too well.

As smart as she was, she would have known the eastward expansion of NATO would sour Europe's relationship with Russia.

“Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him?” – Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Merkel allowed the US to fool her.

. .
Germany Chancellor Olaf Stolz has just learn a very bitter lesson in geopolitics.
He talks too much and the US took advantage of his amateurish belief.

But he can't reverse it now without political consequences.

Now at this moment, he can only stop the certification of Nordstream 2 as a compromise but strangely Biden can openly declared it as dead.

So does that means Germany is not in cahrge of their own destiny and democracy is just a farce.

This is when ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel is missed.

She knew and read the US games too well.

That is why she mooted the original idea of Nordstream 2 to Russia and refused to halt it despite the US strong objections.
Northstream2 is dead.
Northstream1 is on the death list.

Germany is about to cut off all links to Russia.

If Merkel is still in power she would have no choice and do the same. Even harsher reaction. Germany would expel Russia diplomats out of the country.

Really it is so simple.

Can't blame you really.

Then why only halt the certification now and not declared it as over.

Why only US President Biden an outsider declared it as dead and not the German Chancellor himself.
Perhaps like many American, they think Nordstream 2 is in the USA and is a name of a drink?

Russia is now demanding Ruble for her gas and do you understand what are the consequences for EU?

The war in East Ukraine will soon be finished.
Russia has more or less achieved its objectives.

Like what the US and NATO did to Yugoslavia with impunity, Ukraine will be shattered to many independent states to the East and everyone of them will be pro-Russia. Ukraine no longer have access to the black sea and Crimea.

Ukraine is in a crossroad now and will have to declare their neutrality in writing in order to for Russia to withdraw their troops from Kiev and other Western cities.

In recent days Zalensky is trying very hard to meet President Putin and President Xi but will they responds without a firm commitment coming from him?

Russia has all the time in their encirclement and they have to do is to wait while the militias are doing the job in wiping off the Nazi Ukrainian Army and the mercenaries.

The US amd NATO nations has used up their trump card in imposing all their sanctions.

The Russian precision weapons are so devastating that it will just be a matter of days or weeks.

BTW the US has just lifted their tariff of 350 out of the 500 odd items that they imported from China hoping to contain hyperinflation.

It is rather strange.

Didn't Biden and the US State Department threatened China over China support for Russia and neutrality on Ukraine?

It would have been battleground Russia... had it not been Ukraine. Just like Afghanistan... Kazakhstan is another state that can inhibit Eurasian cohesion.
The belligerence shown thus far almost guarantees escalation... I don't know how far the brinkmanship will go before all he'll breaks loose... The stage for Ukraine was set in last couple of decades and the rest of Europe is already NATO. Ukraine was the fall guy... taking one for the team, eh...

Anyways, there is no off ramp here and whoever thought they'd be able to confine, Russia or Putin, were mistaken but more likely... it was never the intention!

Do you think I made joke? Merkel is in the Conservative party, they demand harsher responses. Scholz leads a leftist/green/liberal government which is seen by many as weak including Putin. Putin sees Germany as weakling, as dependent child. He miscalculated.

As for rubles in exchange oil, fact is the currency is worthless Putin wants to catch the fall. We will see if anyone in the West is willing to accept that.

That is how inexperienced politicians are held hostage to fortune by their own amateurish policised speeches printed worldwide e.g. the British ministers, newcomer Olaf Scholtz and his FM.

Can't blame them either as Zalenskyy was picked up and recruited by an Ukrainian Oligarch after his successful movie as a President advisor. In real life he is just a bozo.

Now they lived to regret it as their popularity wanes.

I must admits the Red Communist Vietnamese Government is much smarter as they are not oblivious to the threat posed by an offended China e.g. after Kamala Harris blundering probably on purpose during her visit to Hanoi.
The PM quickly ranged up the Chinese Ambassador in Hanoi to explain the stance of Vietnam.

Angela Merkel was the prime mover and the one who managed to convince a reluctant President Putin to build the Nordstream 2 for the benefit of Germany. :coffee:

Now President Putin considered Germans and generally European nations as unreliable partners and not trustworthy.
They are building a third gas pipeline to China.
