When we leave, the infrastructure is still there for the nation to use. The infrastructure would probably last another 20-30 years, so it will make its money back.

The western coke factory in Pakistan is the same as Western companies setting up shop in China. That's why China was smart, and CONTRACTS with the western companies but don't let them outright put production here.

Yeah, so what, they look after their interest like any other country, but at least they don't send their armies - occupy another country - steal it's resources - and then ask the same people to thank them for liberating them. The Chinese are a not an imperialist nation, never have, never will be.

What makes you think that in future theres no room for China to Excersize its militery might over any Nation..! China has been ambitiously modrenizing its Militery and that is specifically for this reason.However China wont be engaging in any kind of Endeouvours currently but it would deffinately when the Chines would feel the moment is right..!!!

Can China uproot those highways and ports? If not then those are definitely being left behind.

China throughout its history never cared of dominance beyond its borders (except a few rare times) I find it hard to believe that they will now try to do what the British did or what the Americans are doing.

I think there is a big misconception from the world on what are the chinese goal is.
