The Birth of New Generation of Lollywood

Recently I have been coming across some trailers of Pakistani movies which I believe are of high quality standards. Such as, the movie Waar, Kolachi, The Dusk etc. They are not like your average "typical" lollywood movies, They don't seem to contain songs/dances and are not love stories of boy friend girl friend ( all that crap) , but are based on issues which our society is going through. Which I think many people can relate to.

I am not sure if it is a "revival" of Lollywood or a birth of new Pakistani cinema. Also, I think the art, direction, music, style and stories are a reflection how our Pakistani culture is developing and evolving into something unique and beautiful.


I don't watch a lot of movies, but when I do, they are Hollywood movies, but these new Pakistani movies make me want to watch them.
