23rd March saw the unveiling of South Asia’s biggest fountain at Bahria Town Karachi – the ‘Dancing Fountain’ which provides a captivating water, light, and music spectacle.

Malik Riaz, Founder and Chairman of Bahria Town, described the spectacle as a Pakistan Day gift to the nation, in his Facebook post.

The dazzling spectacle included more than 180 individual fountains, with the water reportedly reaching a height of over 150 feet. It is also accompanied and supported by laser lights and a fire show.

Bahria Town officials believe this can become a major tourist attraction that could draw thousands of visitors each day.

The Dancing Fountain has been launched for the public, although, it is set for a formal inauguration on April 15.

You can take a look at its demonstration on March 23 below:

Doesn't look like that Pakistan is suffering from the scarcity of water and electricity.. may be enemies spread those rumours.

It's a private investment and development... he could have just stashed the loot in a Swiss account like many Pak elites do... but he chose to invest.
In what,a gigantic manufacturing facility I guess.

Where is he getting the water from when most of the areas Karachi aren't?

Nice but some good plans are needed for clean water supply to the rest of the city too.

i have been to bahria town karachi about 2 years ago, The water and electricity projects earmarked for Karachi are being redirected to gated communities like the under-construction Bahria Town, and DHA City. i realized that any project required electricity and water but the point is rest of people in Karachi are suffering and helpless to pay the expensive Karachi Electric and water bills without having electric and water. Most of society, buildings and houses dont have even water Line connection but still they are helpless to pay the water bills. on that time 15 rupees were charged for per unit, dont know how much is being charged now (expansive electricity in the region) i felt that in future only elite class can survive in Karachi. i also felt that how 75% revenue is being charged from karachi. even people are hand to mouth with 50 thousand income in Karachi.

For a second, misread it as "asia's largest university".
Would have been so happy.
why dont you make that university instead of making fun of others ?

Water and power is right of every citizen, its responsibility of Govt, you cannot deny it to Bahria Town, these are also residents of Karachi who have relocated from Karachi for a better life.
