Dear Malay,

Don't be suprised if some dubious enviornmental private organisation in India goes to court to delay the project. The funding for this agency would probably come from the Colombo Port operators association ! I doubt if the Srilankan Govt would like the Sethu Channel.

Actually i wasnt surprised. Do you know how delayed this project ALREADY is(take a guess in decades and not years...just a hint)....it was already stuck in court over environmental issues. Its cleared now, dredging already started a while back.

Environmentalists (a special few of them ) raised quite a ruckus over it.
