thanks for opening the thread, even I'm looking for a digital cam and my budget is around 16000 INR, specifications above 12 mega pxls and around 16 x zoom.

I own a Fuji S2950... It's a bridge camera and with it's 18x Optical Zoom, captures amazing pictures. I bought it because it came cheap at 10000 INR or $215.

Go for the Nikon L120. It has 22x optical zoom. An awesome cam for amateurs.

yeah i have heard about this one two but when i reasearched it turned out that many people were opting for the cannon s95and trust me i am def really happy with my purchase so il really recommend this for the people who wants to buy this camera

i also think that this camera has also out done it self i mean the price to ratio performance is outstanding

Canon S95 is a simple point and shoot camera while the ones I've mentioned are Bridge Cameras (Bridge between Point and Shoots and DSLRs). Both fall in different categories. Depends on your need.

But Canon S95 is undoubtedly a good camera.
