The Best 1300cc Cars In Pakistan In Terms Of Maintenance And Resale Value

Hi, planning to move back to Pakistan shortly. I'm looking to buy a 1300cc sedan for starters. Need some serious suggestions on which brands/ models to keep an eye on.

The interest you showed w.r.t. brand, model and re-sale, I would suggest Corolla XLI either 2007-8 or 2013 or the brand new if you like. Corolla 2007-8 is the best w.r.t. maintenance/easily available parts in cheap price.

You can check for 2014 corolla after 2008, but parts may cost bit more as compare to 2008. A perfect condition corolla either 2008 or 2012 type model, will serve the purpose as what you want as all in one package. In my opinion.

Well, fuel economy may suggest to go for eco idle type like hybrid prius etc but the same will actually compromise cheap maintenance. However, there is no comparison for its fuel consumption as it will use battery power till 50 km/h and then will automatically convert to petrol consumption. Not fully sedan like Corolla but still, good enough with space.

yeah, it happens so I will suggest a better average close to all those requirements which may be fulfilled by suggested car/model. Not just me but many friends driving the same brand acknowledges as such hence, proposed.

Per my findings by discussing the same option in past when I was in same situation like you, many friendly mechanics advised to not to go for Baleno for many reasons including short life of last maintenance, parts availability issue and being costly as compare to regular expense. However, you can ask anyone as such.

Baleno sucks
Specially in terms of comfort and fuel economy

Vitz sells very well, but it is not a sedan

If I were you, then Honda Civic circa 2005 is best option.
The ones after it are too delicate.

The best one. Buy it without any hesitation, if found in good condition. Wouldn't cost much as compare to other sedan/new models and will be cheap in maintenance so far. Mint condition may cost around 7 laks.

Baleno is a white elephant.

Budget is important if you want a precise and useful suggestion. Although there're only a couple of brands to pick from, your budget determines the model which is quite important.
