The Armor Division of Pakistan Army

So. PA does not use 400+ Al khalids, sad to know that really. I thought we had several formations comprising them.

The AK are used primary by the two Mechanized Divisions, each:
- 1st Armoured Brigade (2 Armoured Regiments x44=88 MBT)+(Mech Inf Bn (M113)
- 2nd Armoured Brigade (1 Armoured Regiment x44 MBT)+(Mech Inf Bn (M113)
- Divisional Armoured Recon Regiment (26 MBT) (can be attached to 2nd Armoured Brigade)

Again! This is what I see from here, far away!

Thanks

This @Signalian chap is clever, he will not reveal it that easily.

If you know, good for you.

Its best to back up information through whats shown on the media (TV channels) and whats present on the internet (google search). It also shows that Pakistan Army is comfortable with the information which has been circulated on internet. Anything less is better, anything more is a compromise.

Pictures of T-80 UD on google show formation sign of 1st Armor Div and wiki shows AZ in 6th Armor Div. Rest need not be disclosed even if information is there.

Formation signs are also available on google.

The video shows that PA was comfortable enough to show units of 6th Armor in media.

Have you read books by Indian author, Ravi Rikhye?
He has openly written Pakistan Army ORBATs, TOE, units, bases, formations, equipment etc in his books.

Now telling that which Regiment operates what kind of MBT's is a completely different thing, and compromising too.

Quite rational. I do look forward to more of your work in future. 10th and 31st Guides cavalry, among some others, uses them as part of the sixth armoured division.

Whatever you do, do not trust wiki. Anything that someone can edit without any checks is an inaccurate source.

From where?

No, no, I was just pulling Signalian's leg, teasing him. It is his secret, not mine. Also the forum rules would not allow me to say.

It was quite brilliant, wasn't it? jbgt90 and I spent a long conversation today, discussing the differences between the Armoured Division configuration outlined by Signalian, and what it is on our side. VERY interesting differences.

I hope you will write one of your brilliant pieces soon. It is slowly becoming clear who the real stars are, as distinct from us idiot trolls. Another one who is slowly beginning to grip my imagination is Araz; each post of his, even if short, is a gem.

Ravi Rikhye specialises in ORBATs. He does painstaking work on these. Very impressive.

As you rightly said, going further and divulging who drives which tank is not a great idea.

@Signalian @Inception-06

Watch after 35:00, 14 FF (Fighting Fourteen) was mentioned as MIB, insignia belongs to 6 Armd. Div. Has Sakb, M113P and VCC-1. :enjoy:

And, M110A2 was there, with insignia of 21 Artillery Div.
