We didnt see the new Egyptian 3D radar this exhibition unfortunately but they did unveil 2 ground radars, an IFF radar, and an updated version of the ESR-32B.

Hope they develop further in this field.

There is only one flag on the boat and that is the Egyptian one.. so it is not even a JV.. these are made in Egypt..either the license was bought or they just look similar..

Well, they're both built by Yonca-Onuk JV which is a Turkish co. that builds under joint venture and custom contracts. I remember first seeing these years ago in the EN during Mubarak's days and the relationship was fine at the time they were acquired. A custom batch was built for the Turkish Coast Guard while another, smaller one was built for the Egyptian navy fast attack and coastal patrol.

The question here is for this particular boat that is being presented seems to be as a mostly Egyptian project? Has the contracting for construction under the JV reached the independent stage? That's what it seems like. Or under that cover but as a JV with the Turkish co.? It's rather interesting TBH.

The two types are identical. Source.

The great takeaway for me from this year's EDEX (and only being the 2nd ever) was the practicality of 99% of the items on display. They were all truly battlefield ready and usable as well as needed items and nothing out of the reach of most militaries, with the exception of some of the big tickets like Rafales & larger ships etc. But a lot of terrific armored vehicles, UAVs/UCAVs, automated firing equipment, modern interior vehicle systems and of course, radars up the wazoo. This was really a very enjoyable display of a lot of practical military equipment. It was also interesting reading some of the critiques out there such as one source that was not happy about the fact that they claimed Egypt hardly has an indigenous military program, yet they put this very successful 3-day display on showcasing A LOT of indigenous stuff while they're country, a military powerhouse doesn't do such a thing and why not? It was interesting to read that crap lol.

Speaking of 3 days, when you think about how much it takes to put something like this together including the security needed to run it effectively without any mishaps and make a success out of it, 3 days is hardly enough. Hopefully they'll up it to 5 days in the near future just so they can make enough out of the huge effort it takes to organize and entice makers to the show. But what a great success and great surprises for many of us.

The Egyptian National Industrial Development Company “SNCD” displayed, at the Egypt Defense and Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2021”, a distinctive suit in special operations of an ideal style, which is not detected by radar waves.

The suit can change its colors according to the nature and background of each place.

Regarding the company’s latest products, Mohamed Fahmy, general manager of the company’s protective missions, said that the protective jacket, which can be quickly disposed of in just 3 seconds, is the latest exhibit, especially if the security response or the combatant is forced to evacuate immediately due to its easy-to-remove and anti-bacterial technology.

And the new Egyptian suit was implemented that is resistant to bacteria, and is made of a chemically treated polyester material against laser and infrared rays, both near and far.

The most prominent weapons in the Egyptian pavilion during the Edex2021 exhibition are produced and designed by the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the Military Production, the Technical College, the Alexandria Arsenal Company, and the International Optical Company.

• The 'Nut' is the first 100% Egyptian reconnaissance aircraft, a stealth 'drone'.

• The new Egyptian 7.62×51 caliber machine gun.

• The Egyptian-made IFF system for friend-or-Foe identification under the name ESSR-12A, and next to it is an Egyptian-made radar command computer called the mini-RB.

. An anti-drone system that jams drones and data links and space navigation systems, with a range of up to 4 km, and it can work throughout the week in various weather conditions.

. The Crocodile 3, 4 and 5 family of armored vehicles, IMUT ST500 LTV, Sinai200 IFV are all equipped with RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station).

. Grenade launchers in addition to the new Egypt assault rifle, automatic grenade launcher, MBT shells including SABOT and artillery shells.

. land troops protection jackets.

. Drone targeting camera by AIO.

. “UAS” is locally made, the Egyptian version bears the name EJune-30 SW.. This drone was produced by the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production using complex industrial robots.

. A 43-meter long missile launcher, with a speed of 30 knots, a range of 1500 nautical miles, and a stay at sea for 10 days.

. Corvette 60 meters long, with a speed of 32 knots, has a range of 2,400 nautical miles, and stays at sea for 20 days.
