The 21st century Egyptian Soldier system appears at the conference of the Faculty of Military Art Engineers
The 21st Century Egyptian Soldier System is designed and produced by Arab International Optics AIO, an Egyptian company in partnership between the National Service of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Egypt (51%) and Thales of France (49%).
The system consists of:
1 - The weapons group consists of a thermal device connected to the screen on the helmet of the commander to transfer the image of the video through the console and another day device connected to the screen also.
2. The helmet set consists of two thermal / electrostatic control units, along with a data display on the right eye of the commander.
The helmet is of type BK-3 modified with the addition of side rails to add thermal control systems, and it provides level 3A protection.
3 - The day and night equipment of the soldier's weapon.
4- The power supply unit for the power generator for different systems.
5 - The suite of protection and shield consists of the electronic control unit responsible for the management of the components of the system and the digital radio communication device and can transfer images and data of the battlefield _and it is found with the commander_, and the navigation system composed of a special compass with the soldier and the GPS satellite system, also with the commander, as well as a heavy duty computer system to transfer data to the highest levels of command and information storage and also particular to the leader, and finally the bulletproof shield for the front, rear and lateral protection of the shoulder and arm, with the ability to add Molle system to carry ammunition stores, grenades and communication devices ...etc. The shield is equipped with a quick release and provides a 360-degree Molle shield on the user's body to provide a great ability to add additional ammunition pockets, communication systems and other needed battlefield add-ons. It also provides side plates to the shield to protect the soldier from the risk of injury by bullets on both sides of his body. The shield provides multiple levels of protection..
