What's new

Thank you to Supreme Court Thread

.
How was the law broken when PMIK was removed? Wasn't PMIK removed by constitutional means of No-confidence motion?
Because the Supreme Court did not have authority to meddle in parliamentary affairs, and had no power to challenge a speaker's decision. Once he resigned and the Parliament was devolved, that should have been the end of it.

The Supreme Court broke the law by reinstating parliament and forcing the VONC to go through.

.
We are still far from victory, nothing to celebrate until free and fair election are done and transfer of power to the rightful winner happens.
Well stated

Supreme court announced final date of 14th May
26+14 days

1- People should organize their communities for vote day activities
2- Ensure there is transport to poll station
3- Security at poll stations
4- Voters should confirm their vote can be casted at particular polling booth

. . . .
qasim suri stunt was hella suspect though... I won't blame him for that.
Yeah, I think deep down we can all agree on that.

What pissed everybody off was how the higher judiciary was so cavalier in "defending the constitution" back then but since then, they've been more than accommodating for the efforts to create a north korea out of Pakistan. Perhaps that is the reason, PDM is so emboldened to attack them now.

The NA passed a "binding" resolution for the PM to "reject" the "minority decision" of the SC regarding punjab elections.
Maryam's calling for the three judges to be held in "katehra"

Imagine IK doing any of this during his govt.

Thanks for standing up, it was a Do or Die situation for them.

A stand against ruthless and duffer generals sitting on nukes is not an easy task.

.
The Lawyer association stance to promote Supreme Court was great as well much needed support for Law and order
