. . . .
They need a jet to replace two Squadrons of F-5s.

They're not too happy with the Gripens and they might not like to throw all of their eggs in the American basket. They've got F-16s.
i have already checked wikipedia they have 30 f 5. hope its true

. . . .
USA might approve it. Trump might even approve sale of new F-16 for Pakistan once Afghan peace deal is finalized.
New F16s were oked by Trump too but he asked Pak to pay from pocjets.one thing I feel for used US will force Pak to buy New ones as well beacuse after Behrain order there is no more orders in line.
So new and used like Bush era we did it.

Majority of Generals are in American pockets. That’s one of the reason not investing in another fighter plane.

If they offer, Pakistan should not ask for less than block 70.

Eventhough F-16s come with restrictions, their frame and engine life is more and operational cost is less than Russian planes. If we can get 25 used and 18 to 36 new block 70, will be in good shape. Jf-17 block 3 will be operational by 2022 and hopefully 5th generation by 2025.
For stop gap purpose, Last resort will be to go for J-16.

Ur right but F16s suits pakistan at time and space we have infrastructure we know this plane, we have trained crew it's just add numbers nothing more.
A package of Blk70 with used one plus v upgrade rest of fleet will be a great thing for pakistan. Yes this time we ask them more tech access too.
