In theory, a plane with TVC can pull a VTOL, but's that's just my theory. Can it happen. When you see the X-31 pull of it's "mangoose" mounver, you can see that's it's possibile. And there was the russian plane with TVC, that litterly stopped in mid air.

TVC cannot pull a VTOL.

If you see the JSF engine's while it is pulling VTOL, you will see that how they are facing the bottom. The X-31 did a similar thing onlu in the air, and their is another russian plane (still finding it) that litterly stopped in mid-air.
