What's new

Tesla caught fire. As soon as it started smoking, the electrical system locked trapping the guy inside.

. . .
. .
He got out himself. He's talking to this guy filming his car.

Nice that he got out. But that woman whose Tesla hit a rock and caught fire died in the fire.

Across the world there is a mad scramble to set up electric personal car and two-wheeler factories including in India, Indonesia, China and Vietnam. In India there lately have been multiple reports of electric scooters catching fire not only in the middle of the road but one incident of new scooters in a delivery truck catching fire. Governments not only did start to ban personal vehicles but also enabled short-term thinking companies to build electric vehicles that use the risky lithium-ion battery instead of the new and safe zinc-ion battery. This is insane how governments are risking lives just to be fashionable and say "We are Green, yay !" despite pollution actually increasing massively by replacing billions of petroleum-fueled personal vehicles with factories that produce billions of personal electric vehicles. And think of the various companies offering different electric models every six months. This is madness !

@Bilal9 bhai.

@AmiEktaKharapChele, remember I told you about such an eventuality in your thread about two Bangladeshi youth who had followed the herd and were doing something about lithium-ion electric scooters ?

S T E A L. L O L. And the Twitter page is hilarious.

Ion phosphate battery by China BYD is safe.

Ion phosphate battery by China BYD is safe.

An improvement but it still uses lithium. Please read the below article about the zinc-ion battery from Salient Energy. This zinc-ion battery uses water as the electrolyte which won't catch fire unlike a lithium battery that will catch fire immediately when exposed to water and also perhaps of hot or humid conditions in India. I am not quoting sections from the article because the whole article is full of info :

Not 100%. China crash tested a BYD Han EV and it ended up catching fire and burning to the ground. Tesla's have withstood catching fire in crash tests.

After being parked for 48 hours, the vehicle caught fire and burnt to the ground.

I don't they have the same manual override for the second row.... From what I recall.

If you recalled they had an override in the front why did you even pose the claim in post #3????

They don't have an emergency latch in the back because kids would be pulling it and falling out of moving cars (the regular door-open button doesn't work if the car is moving)

You have to setup a strap yourself if you want it enabled.

The fire of that car is not caused by BYD battery. So?

any from your link provided....

"BYD made a statement indicating that the battery coolant in the test car is different in color than the non-conductive type the car came with; they, therefore, suspect that the car has been tampered with. If this is true, the conductive battery coolant may have leaked onto battery components and caused the short and subsequent fire."

Does it make the shitty test for BYD Han with blade battery valid? lol...
You need to try harder if your intention is to smear blade battery. It is proven safe.

What nonsense are you talking about? Use Traditional Lithium? lol.. The chemistry is different from your traditional lithium and is proven it will not cause fire with blade battery.

There are others you know...you going to writeoff every single one..
Another tamper by some shitty rival. They buy BYD car and modify and frame is as defect. Nice trick lowlife trick. lol..
