Srinagar: There has been a shootout at a restaurant on the outskirts of Sringar. Initial reports are suggesting that is a suicide attack. One person is reported to have died.

Other reports, yet to be confirmed, say a blast has also heard at the restaurant. Details are awaited.

The attack has come after a prolonged period of peace in the Valley. A very large numbers of tourists had visited the Valley this year and more are expected as the holiday season starts this weekend.
