OKARA: A two-day national-level tent pegging event concluded successfully in Okara, marking a historic milestone for the district. The event featured 30 teams and 120 participants from across Punjab, showcasing their horsemanship skills. Thousands of spectators gathered to witness the vibrant display of this traditional sport, reflecting a blend of culture and competition.
The closing ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Member of National Assembly Chaudhry Riaz-ul-Haq Juj, Member of Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Munir, Sahiwal Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, District Police Officer Rashid Hidayat, and Sultan Muhammad Ali, who attended as special guests.
Adhering to regional traditions, the dignitaries were brought to the venue in an ornate carriage, adding a touch of grandeur to the event.
