Regular occurrence.Tension gripped parts of Assam's Dhubri and Cachar districts as people clashed with police on Saturday after body parts of cows were found near temples. Many people were injured, a few have been arrested while curfew has been imposed in one of the districts to prevent the incidents from spilling over.
Police said the problem started in Agomoni in Dhubri district on Friday evening after a group of people beat up two youth alleging that they intentionally kept some beef near a temple in Kaldoba area.
Although police intervened and managed to control the situation immediately, the situation turned worse on Saturday morning as hundreds of people belonging to one community took to the streets protesting against Friday's assault on the two youth.
Police sources said the irate mob destroyed shops and commercial establishments in Agomoni area and also set a motorcycle ablaze.
Police resorted to baton-charge, leading to injuries to many protesters.
The Dhubri district administration immediately imposed curfew in and around Agomoni area.
The administration imposed Section 144 that prohibits assembly of more than 10 people in the entire district to ensure that the violence does not spill over.
Police have arrested 19 people so far for inciting violence.
In a similar incident, tension gripped Silchar town of Cachar district after the recovery of a cow's head near a Kali temple in Meherpur area on Friday evening.
Although police managed the situation on Friday night, people from one community took out a protest rally in Silchar town on Saturday morning.
As the protest turned unruly, police resorted to a baton-charge in which many protesters were injured.
BJP legislator Dilip Paul along with another BJP leader were arrested for their alleged involvement.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi alleged the involvement of "fundamentalist forces" behind the incidents and said some people were trying to foment communal tension.
He said police received intelligence inputs and were able to prevent the clashes before they could spread.
Tension in Assam after cow parts found near temples
After Ranchi, now Assam is tense after head cow's head recovered near a temple.
Guys interested in learning Hinduism or interested in conversion please approach the nearest temple or vedic scholars. PDF won't be the ideal place as we Hindus are less knowledgeable than the temple priest or vedic scholars.

From Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:
Śākalya : "How many gods are there?"
Yājñavalkya : "Three hundred and three." Then he says, "Three thousand and three."
Śākalya : "Is this the answer that you give me to my question, how many gods are there? Three thousand and three; three hundred and three! Have you no other answer to this question?"
Yājñavalkya : There are thirty-three gods.
Śākalya : "All right!" (not satisfied with answer) ...Tell me again properly; how many gods are there?"
Yājñavalkya : "Six are there."
Śākalya : "How many gods are there. Tell me again. Think properly."
Yājñavalkya : "Only three gods are there."
Śākalya : "How many gods are there? Tell again.
Yājñavalkya : "Two gods are there."
Śākalya : "Tell again; how many gods are there?"
Yājñavalkya : "One and a half gods"
(Then he was very much upset)
Śākalya : "What is this you say, one and a half gods. Tell again properly; how many gods are there?"
Yājñavalkya : "One god is there,"
Śākalya : "All these numbers that you have mentioned – three thousand and three, three hundred and three – what are these gods? Give the names of these gods, the deities."
Yājñavalkya : "All these three thousand and all that I mentioned – they are not really gods. They are only manifestations of the thirty-three. The thirty-three are the principal manifestations, and others are only their glories, radiances, manifestations, magnificences or forces, energies, powers."
Śākalya : "But what are these thirty-three?"
Yājñavalkya : "The thirty-three gods are eight Vasus, eleven Rudras, twelve Ādityas, then Indra and Prajāpati – these make thirty-three gods."
Śākalya : "What are these Vasus which are eight in number?"
Yājñavalkya : "Fire is one deity; earth is one deity; air is another; the atmosphere is one deity; the sun is one deity; the heaven is one deity; moon is one deity; the stars are one deity. These constitute eight groups"
Śākalya : "Why do you call them Vasus?"
Yājñavalkya : "Everything is deposited as it were in these constituent principles. Therefore, they are called Vasus."
Śākalya : "Who are the Rudras?"
Yājñavalkya : "The ten senses and the mind make eleven. These are the Rudras."
Śākalya : "What are the twelve Ādityas, the suns?"
Yājñavalkya : "They are twelve forces of the sun, takes away the vitality of people."
Śākalya : "Who is Indra? Who is Prajāpati?"
Yājñavalkya : "The rain cloud can be called Indra. Sacrifice can be called Prajāpati."
Śākalya : "What do you mean by rain cloud?"
Yājñavalkya : "By rain cloud I do not actually mean the cloud, but the lightning which is the embodiment of energy."

considering your logic there are more followers of Islam than hinduism.. so are you sayin we should start revisiting all the chapters of your gods and messengers ?? shall we? But i think thats bad idea.. I'll edcuate you why.. cause I as a sikh I would not have knowledge about your religion of islam.. so it would be very immature to do so on a forum like this.. where its very easy to hurt someone's sentiments... thus it makes perfect sense for you to get your doubts cleared in some religion forum than posting some random video on hinduism from youtube.
@Slav Defence please look at the religious discussion with the sole objective to abuse Hinduism here by @Indus Falcon @secretservice @Bilal9 @Muhammad Omar
Please remind them how easy it is to make fun of their irrational beliefs too for non believers. I mean since a non believer does not believe in what is essentially fantastic and apocryphal, its piece of cake for them to make fun of it. Then if someone will start responding in kind, indus falcon will be the first one to whine us a river.

Can you please compare statistics on the percentage of religious minorities living in Bangladesh in 1971 & now?
Can you please elucidate the reasons, if any, for any change in the percentage ?
Can you please use this data point to futher expand on your quoted statement?
Thanks.
Muslims of india are a superior people than local hindus. Hindus can worship cows, but Muslims should be allowed to slaughter cows---as many cows as they want.
