In a worrying development, Taliban posters have surfaced in the Kashmir Valley, reports said.The posters have been seen in Sopore town of Baramulla district and reportedly warn of attacks on telecoms, petrol pumps, cable operators and alcohol shops.
Just days ago, two men were killed in Sopore by militants. The men were working with telecom companies.
The posters, which bear the name of Tehreek-e-Taliban, ask petrol pump owners not to refuel the vehicles of military and police failing which they will be attacked.
The posters further warn cable operators against telecasting Indian shows and alcohol-sellers to shut shop immediately.
As per reports, Kashmiri residents have also been warned against employing non-Kashmiri labourers.
It is the first time that Taliban-related posters have been seen in the Valley.
