you might want to post a little more like your system specs. And are you getting this when trying to play a game?

. . .
if your playing one of the newer graphics intensive games then you will want to update your computer. I assume your video card is what 500 meg? I don't know what your financial situation is but the new intel ivy bridge processors are priced nice and have built in graphics. Though if you want to run with ultra high settings you will still want a nice video card. If low on funds I would reccomend a prebuilt system though. I know prices can vary quite a lot depending on your countries tarrifs on computers.

I just upgraded my computer recently and added the following

Intel 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5 Ghz
16Gig of DDR3 1600 RAM
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP4 TH LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with Dual Thunderbolt
2x Corsair Force Series GT 240GB SSD's (set to raid 0)

I kept my 2Gig Radeon 6950 and will hold off on updating it till the next generation Radeon card comes out.
