Another child of privilege, applying a veneer of caring for the nation effed so royally by his father. Perfect!
I have just started watching the podcast. I genuinely hope that he is doing valuable work in the Edtech space. Please don't ruin my hope until I have finished watching the podcast otherwise, I won't be able to watch the podcast. :D

By that logic, only uneducated and poor people are sincere and capable, right?? Do you know that Friedrich Engels was a man of privilege and yet is considered a Founder of Marxism? A movement, despite all its failings, has lifted hundreds of poor people out of abject poverty and probably led to the Workers' Rights in the Capitalist West? And the world is full of people of privilege doing things for their countrymen. Even the fake 'socialist' ZAB introduced laws which gave more rights to workers in Pakistan. Why shouldn't the opinion of a highly educated person like Bilal Musharraf be given thoughts? At least he is not of the feudal mode, which is rampant in Pakistan. His dad is a discredited force with no political standing. So IF and WHEN Bilal achieves something it will be by hard work and merit!!

You are the most cynical person on PDF!!

Man Eisenhower! a good gen and president. One great report was published in his time on education, and its conclusion was that to create a democratic, intellectual and spiritual society, higher education is necessary.
It was an educator Zook (1947).

Not at all. In your haste to apply your pre-conceived label on me, you forgot to actually have a logical basis for concluding that falsehood before unleashing your tirade. Fail.

Bilal Musharraf follows a long line of the progeny of Generals that benefit not only from their parent's raping of the nation, but position themselves well for obscene seconds for their generation as well. Enough said.

And no, it does not mean that only uneducated and poor people are sincere and capable. :D

Is it just more or host is trying to make his voice more deep as if he is still sleepy.

I object. I believe I am the most cynical person on PDF!!!

Pakistan leaves nothing but cynicism for those those who have the ability to think.

True !!

That's your Fail #2.
I am half way through the video and though this is my first time ever watching Bilal Musharraf, I can already tell a very smart man and from the comments to the video, there are people acknowledging his help to Pakistanis via the Khan Academy.
Bilal Musharraf is not Pervez Musharraf. He was sent to America where, upon not getting a scholarship, he did whatever to complete his studies; he is not elaborating upon that in the interview but my guess is he probably did 'odd jobs' which would have been illegal in America as a student.
Yes, the 'Generals' have established a monopoly over Pakistan but that doesn't mean their children, exposed to foreign education and ideas can't contribute. And Bilal has already contributed via the Khan Academy.
Anyway, I have not and will never condemn kids for the actions of their parents! I will watch what people say and do and factor that into the existing 'talent' pool of Pakistan-- not an impressive one, as we know, and give people credit when due. Pakistan is a country where a very talented guy like Atif Mian was removed only because he was an Ahmadi. Pakistan must choose what's available. At best people, without the political big families' powers, can hope to be advisors. That's the best hope for Bilal and Atif. They are not going to 'rape' Pakistan!
Watch the video with an open mind.

As I said the first time, he remains just another child of privilege, applying a veneer of caring for the nation effed so royally by his father. Perfect!

All of that remains true, video or no video. :D
