Tata’s Hummer styled vehicle for Indian Army enters production

Well how can you deny that you Indians are obsessed with Gaye mata? I know its a cute animal and very much respected in our country but you guys are amazing.

its not a real military vehicle until u place a 50kg IED underneath it and detonate it and the driver comes out and able to dance

The TATA vehicle is certified for 15 KG of IED, and that's at par with many personnel armored vehicles, chinese trolls are a special variety of stupid... and you are a prime example.

Our singapore made military vehicles have been purchased by US army.

All our singapore made vehicles have been tested with 100kg IED bomb underneath and all survived.

Sir, can you name a Singapore military APC can withstand blast of 100kg IED under it's belly?
if it's hard name any vehicle in world able to able to survive blast of 100kg IED

Thanks

Look in the mirror..

Lame.

Stop with the racist comments. What would you feel if people attaching you to pig and pig related materials?

Firstly, muslims consider the pig as unclean and so try to avoid it as much as possible. Even non practicing Muslims who openly drink alcohol prefer to avoid pork. Indians on the other hand are making new products out of gao mutra. There is even a rising conglomerate by the name of Patanjali which is a resounding success, and cow shelters are financing themselves by Selling gao mutra by the liters.

Secondly, who says Indians don't use pig related insults against Pakistanis? That is the favorite past time of India. Everything in India revolves around its psychotic hatred of Pakistan. A major election theme in India is Pakistan bashing. The only foreign policy objective of India is isolating Pakistan (India is failing at it, mind you). The war cry of Hindutva followers is aggresion against Pakistan. And when you look closely, it comes down to the hatred against Islam and the resultant insults which are directed at Islamic beliefs.

So why get so touchy on gao mutra? It's not like we are connecting you to something you despise.

Earlier this week, we reported that the Tata Motors’ new Light Strike Vehicle – LSV V2 has been spied testing with military grade doors and hatch for roof mounted machine gun operator. The vehicle, styled much like the famed Hummer which is used by the US Military, was spied when Gurpreet Singh (Mototourer Gurpreet) when he was enroute Sach Pass.

Now, the same vehicle has rolled off the production line. Tata’s new LSV V2 is believed to be capable of a top speed of over 100 kmph. Its compact size allows it to be more versatile for multiple uses which other larger armoured vehicle cannot accomplish. In the Himalayas, this new Tata Hummer styled vehicle will be performing all sorts of heavy duty off-road tests.

This new Light Armoured Vehicle from Tata Motors, comes to the aid of infantry venturing into the battle ground. It allows them to be safe within the confines of the armoured vehicle and well protected from gunfire in counter insurgency operations, while at the same time ensuring quick and safe entry and exit from these regions.

The military vehicle Tata Motors receives some upgrades. The cabin is bullet proof with military grade doors while windows receive toughened and bullet proof glass. A hatch for a roof mounted machine gun operator is also evident in the sketch. The rear end of the Tata Motors Light Strike Vehicle also receives an open space which makes this a multipurpose vehicle to carry food, ammunition and troops along with other supplies to the battle front.

Just a few months back, Tata Motors secured one of their largest orders from the Indian Army – an order which could potentially see them sell over 30,000 units of Safari Storme to the Indian Army. Indian Army has decided to replace their entire fleet of Maruti Gypsy with the Tata Safari Storme over the next few years.
The comparisons to the HUMMER are totally pointless, this vehicle is much more akin to the JLTV family.

Any foreign partnership involved?
No, TATA Motors is one of the premier auto makers in the world and the TATA group itself has many specialist entities under its control (including JLR and Supacat).

LAMV is an entirely different class of vehicle:

^far larger and designed for other roles

Gypsy will be replaced by the Storme GS800 for staff transport.

Absolutely.

And the LSV will replace the stripped out Gypsy?

For the stripped out Gypsy/strike roles the Indian Mil will replace it with dedicated specialised Light Strike vehicles (IA and IAF are seperately looking for such vehicles for their Special Ops units).

Basically the current one fit solution (Gypsy) will be replaced by 3-4 specialist vehicles based on the merits of the induvidual products in their respective roles.

Pqrdon my ignorance, What is Hummer category then.
There isn't a "Hummer category" bro, the Hummer is a specific type of vehicle designed for the US Mil and it is now an outdated product that is being replaced by the JLTV family.

India is the largest importer of arms in the world
Because it is also one of the largest ECONOMIES in the world, how is this fact simply ignored by so many?

Tata Kestrel is an APC & might complement Tata's own FICV project.
TATA-DRDO Kestral and FICV are entirely de-linked now.

The Kestral is already undergoing user trails and will likely be ordered in the near future by the IA for amphibious roles and the strike elements in the North and North East, the FICV is now a tracked vehicle only competition.

Because it is also one of the largest ECONOMIES in the world, how is this fact simply ignored by so many?

Because the intent is to belittle the nation with that fact.

To be exact 6th Largest economy with a ~2 300 000 sq. km. of EEZ. And it happens Indian Ocean has some of the busiest shipping lines.
