Tata Steel team visits GPH Ispat plant in Sitakunda

We should really ban Tata and Ashok Leyland products in Bangladesh as they supply missile and other products to their armed forces. Which could easily be used against us in case there is a conflict.

Tata came at the invitation of the Quantum Furnace supplier. I think they are from Austria?
Definitely, you should ban them. Bangladeshis here are just crazy.

Bhai, TATA and Ashok Leyland produces cheap Trucks which we can afford. No one is stopping us from buying Trucks from MAN or Volvo but their products are unaffordable for us.

Don't know about Ashok Leyland but TATA do make EURO standard Trucks.

All their truck technology came from Korea (Tata) and Italy/GB (AL) - just to be clear. They are not capable of developing anything on their own.

Cheap trucks is one thing, but why should we not raise tariffs against their import and ban their products outright, if need be ?

Cheap truck onno kothao pawa jaina? Chinese truck aina assemble korley khoroch tar thekeo kom portey parey.

Kichhu kicchu company already shuru korsey. Aro hobey, tobey tariff support lagbe.

Beshi keu korena karon ei bootlicker govt. India key shob open korey disey, tariff arop kortey chaina. India'r nam na niley tader rate ghoom hoina.

If you don't raise tariff on Indian trucks, then how would our own homegrown truck industry in Bangladesh develop? At least for assembly?

Shara-jibon Indian maal khaitei thakbo? Kon boi-e lekha aasey?

If you were connected to business circles, you'd understand.

For the last fifty years Indians have been looting our market (in "ekchetia" fashion) and in return they call us names like "Lungis" and "Termites".

These Sanghis have no shame. They exploit us to the tune of $45 to $50 Billion yearly. Bangladesh is the third or fourth largest remitter to their economy. Oder Tourism ar Health sector amader takai choley. Shalara ek number Chashmkhor.

We should not enhance their wealth or give them ANY BUSINESS whatsoever.

Only Hasina and AL is making this happen - it is a damn shame we don't deal with Indian businesses on an even keel.

We should help our own industry get a leg up and level the playing field by increasing tariff on Indian products, all of them.

Otherwise we will never ever grow any credible industrial base.

Making chadis for the world....

Anything which brings in forex and provides employment for millions of poor people, particularly women, is not something to be sneered at. Lets hope millions of Indians from the BIMARU and Eastern states get into chaddi stitching too.

Regards
dear mullah ji,

BIMARU states have much better industries than your baradar mulk lungidesh.

Bangladesh already produces 1/5th of india's total value-added manufacturing output, despite being ~8.5x smaller in size. Matching production output shouldn't be the goal anyways....since societies with large populations/size will naturally produce more in aggregate production....which hardly translate into much. For example, Malaysia alone humiliates india in high-tech exports despite being 4300% smaller in size

Bangladeshis should focus on moving up the value-chain when it comes to manufacturing capabilities and develop specialized competitive advantages in high-value sectors of the world economy.

Excellent comments brother - my thoughts exactly !

@Bilal9

Bilal bhai,

They are pieces of disposable garbage.

Good enough for you guys.

Regards

Good enough? We need to make our own trucks.

Tata and Al assemble trucks in Bangladesh already, but we should increase tariff on them so homegrown trucks can capture the market.

This was mooted by several industrial groups for the last decade but Ministers are all Indian chamchas.

Indian trucks and buses had a run of good providence for too long. It is time for that to end.

The Hindoo will not only steal your technology but also pass it as his own from 5000 years back

Regards

Don't bring religion into this please. Bangladesh isn't communal like some in India.

What is so crazy? You guys harass Chinese companies in India and try to ban their products all the time.

Problem is you can't. Because you don't make anything on your own. Even cellphones.

Chinese cellphone brands own majority marketshare in India. You can't do anything about it, ban or otherwise.

But we can bring in trucks from China, only if India stopped twisting our arms on assigning tariff to Indian trucks.

@rott, @MH.Yang @Beidou2020 brothers look at this guy.

Tariffs on cheap trucks will just increase the cost of the supply chain.

It’s the ultimate Trumpian punching your nose to spite your face.

Isn't India a sovereign country? Or are you suggesting Indian foreign policy is controlled by Chinese stooges in BD?

And twisting your arms? Please cry somewhere else.

Traditionally, Muslims of the Indian sub-continent are Darji/ tailors. Most mothers were sewing/ stitching their daughters' clothes in the house.

Even many Muslim Emperors used to stitch their clothes and Topis. They also repaired/ Ripu their clothes themselves.

Hindus are traditionally Dhobi and barbers. How can Indian Dhobi Hindus learn our traditional stitching ability so fast?

After reading this post of yours, I am somewhat more sympathetic to the opinion of UKB Dada (@UKBengali) or Kola bhai (@bananarepublic) regarding you.

Surely, you know that about 15% of Indians are Muslims and this percentage is more than 20% in Assam, Bengal, UP and Bihar. What you may not know is that a large number of them are Ansaris (weavers) by caste, many others belong to artisanal caste like blacksmiths, potters, etc There are many Hindu weaver communities as well.

So, what is your point? Do you think it is a fiction writing contest in that I will write every chapter of every Muslim or Hindu group in my two-sentence writing?

The thing is India with many facilities from the GoI has been unable to explore the garments sector, and you think a few scattered Muslims of India can do it. Very strange.

We also have weaver people. They only weave traditional wear like Sari, Lungi, Dhoti, and other traditional wear.

Anyway, we have a long tradition of stitching clothes that Hindus do not have. It is true throughout the Sub-continent. Even it is true for some of the Muslim emperors.

It is true.

Certain jobs are considered not conducive with praying five times a day or halal.

Hence you don’t see Muslims in certain professions.
