Such type of discrimination cannot be done against a particular state alone. If such things are done by authorities from Tamil Nadu, it would have been made a national issue."

Thank you for the sources, that is very sad to see this forced imperialism from the central Hindi govt. I hope the Tamil are able to preserve this culture and language. In 10-20 years Tamil could dissapear as most important language if migrations continue.

All this is done by local Tamilian business owners so as to attract thousands of north indians who visit the city. Even taxi drivers and local guides speak (broken) hindi to get tourist business .

in the next 10 - 20 years Tamils need to do some thing drastic like what they did in Sri Lanka. Mere chiding will not be enough to bring the cowards on their kneels. Only Chanakya's danda strategy (use of force and brutality to crash the enemy) will work on the Indians. India adversaries can resort to Chanakya's bheda strategy ( the process of dividing and sowing dissension)
