Afghan and international forces have detained a middle man in the eastern Khowst province who allegedly distributed weapons to the militants, a press release said here Friday.
The press release issued by the International Security Assistance Force said a joint security team searched a compound near the village of Badal Kalay in the Nader Shakhot district where intelligence sources indicated that the middle man was located.
The suspect identified himself and surrendered on the scene, said the release, adding that no shot was fired and no one was injured during the operation.
