Taliban vow iron-clad security for negotiators

ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will provide blanket security to peace negotiators in the areas under their control, announced TTP’s central spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid on Sunday.

The TTP formed a committee that could easily negotiate with the government’s side and present their point of view before the people of Pakistan, the spokesperson said in a statement.

The Taliban would ‘monitor and guide’ the five-member committee they have formed to mediate with the government’s negotiators, he added.

The Taliban’s Central Shura, in its meeting on Saturday, took stock of the committee formed by the government and deliberated at length for taking unanimous decisions.

“The TTP intends to hold serious and sincere dialogue with the government and our stance is clear before the Muslims of Pakistan in this regard,” Shahid said, adding the TTP hopes the incumbent government will not repeat the mistakes committed by its predecessors.

anyhow. Talibans are on table because they know that anti-taliban sentiment is at its peek in masses now. Their most significant commander is taken out in air raid. Therefore ground is thin where they stand. Secondly army is all set for all out war with them. Recent three incidents of army engagement have left little doubts about their intent (They had cordoned off the village where terrorist hid and leveled it). This dialogues is for public consumption only. It is designed to get failed to shut the voices of dialogues. Apparently there is going to be a bloody end to all this

Now if we can only plant a tracking device on one of these attendees and then use a drone to take out these animals once these ridiculous peace talks will utterly fail.
