Today the Taliban test-fired a new rocket capable of hitting enemy bases and airfields(20-30kms!). The exact range is still not known as of yet, many believe Al Fatah will be widely used in the upcoming Urban offensive. It has a warhead of 5kgs.

Looks like an archaic POS made with parts from a junkyard

this development is important , they are acting like a state actor. know how must have been provided by someone.

i think they have decided to overwhelm the kabul govt militarily.

Rockets without any form of guidance or fire control are a recipe for civ ,collateral damage.
I would have appreciated it if they could jury rig a microcontroller and sim and some basic guidance.
Fins don't seem angled even.

Rockets in reality are much easier to assemble, fire and guard against, however it will be worth to analyze and compare functioning of isis, houtis and Taliban if they don't get into official/internationally recognized power especially in terms of weapon use evolution

I don't think Taliban enjoy that luxury else they wouldn't mind it.

Unfortunately, in any conflict, civilians suffer the most. In near future, Afghanistan will face chaotic enviroment.

Yes. Homer Hadley Hickam Jr. and his friends were doing it when they were 14.
