Taliban running out of bullets, bombs

Sorry; I had been irrelevant; but in very first place who inspired you to attack those camel nurturing Afghans(rogue they were yes I admit)
~~& thats relevant ain't it??

We're there for the OIL!!!! oops, no oil. ;)

Very relevent question. Despite all the 9/11 conspiracy dorks, the reality is that it was the major event in a LONG series of attacks by the criminal association known as Al-Quaeda. The Afghan Taliban were supporting them, when they weren't too busy beating women who showed skin, or cutting off heads in football stadiums.

No nation with a sack is going to tolerate an attack of that magnitude. The result was Afghanistan on fire just weeks after 9/11.

Bush ordered it. If "Vern the Hillbilly" was president, he'd have ordered it as well. So would have Al Gore. So would I.

.
^^.....& yet I have to see the results; after such a prolonged invasion ~~8years you can't even control the full Afghanistan.

We're there for the OIL!!!! oops, no oil.
don't act like a naive; you know where oil is & you know where strategic position is

. . .
how about the opium ? I think the invasion of afganistan was never just an act of retaliation ..
:coffee:

Well said and strategic location as well.

remember, 9-11 happened after the Taliban delegate was invited by white house and they refused to award contact of pipe line to US companies.

Time line:

1999
January Turkmenistan's foreign minister visits Pakistan; says pipeline project still alive.
February Carlos Bulgheroni, co-chairman of Bridas, visits Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia for talks with leaders.
March Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Sheikh Muradov meets with Mullah Omar in Kandahar to discuss pipeline.
April Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Taliban sign agreement to revive pipeline project.
May Taliban delegation signs agreements with Turkmenistan to buy gas and electricity.

2001
September Terrorist attacks on WTC triggered Afghan invasion.

@ amakalas; BATMAN

Thnx for the valuable additions>>in no way the invasion of Afghanistan is justified or even if it's retaliation over 9/11 the method the US so stubbornly adopted to neutralise Taliban threat is inappropriate to the greatest extent.

Having known that US is full of sane people; but yet also witnessing full-fledge insanity in their decision making urges me to call these CONSPIRACY DECISIONS
