Taliban on verge of victory over NATO in Afghanistan: European diplomat admits 'this war is not winnable'

20 years on, the time has come to put an end for the war mongering West to pack up and leave. For if they don't, it will be a slow and bloody end for them.

The only reason why US-NATO forces are in Afghanistan, is because the last two remaining credible powers in the Islamic World are left that can challenge and annihilate the illegal, illegitimate, murderer and liar state of israel. And they are Iran and Pakistan.

I say two remaining, because Iraq, Syria and Libya are destroyed. Algeria and Indonesia are too far away from the theater, to mount any serious challenge to the zionist-state, israel. As for Egypt, Turkey, Najdi-Sauds, Najdi-Emiratis and Jordan, well they are in israel's back pocket. None of them would ever dare to launch any attacks on israel, when the latter destroys Masjid Al-Aqsa to build their bogus Temple Mount.

US and NATO, are the mercenary armies of the Zionists, to do their bidding. CIA, DGSE and MI-6 are the mafias of the Zionists.

.
The last time the Taliban were in power - there were two Hijackings of Pakistani citizens to coerce for weapons, extremism fermented to deadly levels leading to human ammunition for the 40k plus deaths, and the Pakistani football team were forcibly made baldies for wearing shorts in a supposed friendly game.
So yes, one hopes these aren’t the same Taliban

Pakistan ain't the victim of the story here...

Let's not forget how Pakistan bowed down to the US, which then bombed Afghanistan using Pakistani soil. Then, the US even bombed Pakistan, it's civilians and even it's so called brave, untouchable Army...(Salala and other such incidents).

All without any repercussions. Pakistan only has to blame itself and it's spineless leaders.

.
it's not a defeat, it's a graceful retreat, after teaching the Taliban some lessons about attacks to western targets.

if the Taliban ever become a real threat to western populations again, then we can always just send our army back in.

Graceful retreat, defeat

It's the same thing bruv

Or do you think the U.S gracefully retreated from Vietnam too?

NATO allies taking part in two-day talks; first since President Biden took office
Top of the agenda will be whether to pull 9,600 NATO troops out of Afghanistan
US is currently scheduled to withdraw all of its troops in May, and NATO is unlikely to remain in the country if that move goes ahead
NATO leader Jens Stoltenberg says troops will remain 'as long as necessary', but privately European diplomats have admitted 'this war is not winnable'
NATO leaders are set to discuss withdrawing from Afghanistan this week as they meet for their first talks since Joe Biden took office.

The US is currently committed to withdrawing its remaining 2,500 troops by May under a peace deal signed by President Trump, with NATO unlikely to leave its 9,600 soldiers in the country if America quits.

But the May deadline is under review by Biden, whose advisers have told him to delay withdrawal until a wave of attacks by Taliban fighters on government forces stops and peace talks reach an 'acceptable' conclusion.

Publicly, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg insists that NATO troops will not leave 'before the time is right'. But privately, European diplomats admit 'this war is not winnable'.

Leaders of the alliance are taking part in two days of virtual talks which begin Wednesday and will continue Thursday.

Biden has promised greater cooperation with America's allies than they got under Trump, who infamously shunned NATO summits or stormed out early.

Defence ministers will not make any firm announcement following the talks, but will hope to glean insight into each-other's thinking and plot a rough course forward.

New US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin will 'consult with allies about the process and take their feedback' to Washington, a senior US official said.

'All options remain under consideration,' the official added.

Trump signed a peace deal with the Taliban in February last year which committed the US to gradually withdraw troops, provided the group cut ties with Al Qaeda and engaged in peace talks with the government.

But attacks on government forces have increased in recent months, and analysts now warn that withdrawing completely would simply hand the country back to the Taliban - making it a safe haven for terror groups.

'We believe a U.S. withdrawal will provide terrorists an opportunity to reconstitute, and that reconstitution will take place within about 18 to 36 months,' said Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, a chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump.

NATO countries are desperate not to see Afghanistan slide back into serving as a sanctuary for groups like Al-Qaeda, more than two decades after the alliance launched operations there in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

Taliban on verge of victory over NATO in Afghanistan: European diplomat admits 'this war is not winnable'

It is simple. This is one war that NATO doesn't want to win. NATO wants to leave the country with Taliban in power. All else is fakery.

I say two remaining, because Iraq, Syria and Libya are destroyed.

A large part of Syria may be destroyed infrastructure-wise but the country is not destroyed, yet. I hope that war ends soon with Syrian patriots being the victors along with their foreign allies.

.
Problem is Biden wants to take things where it was vice president running the show to being president at the helm of affairs BUT the world since obama and its bloodthirsty team was sent home for 4 years has returned with all the same grizzly beasts looking for bloodshed. Sadly the world is NOT statistic to 2016 and many many ground realities have changed.

The yanks want to start another round then fine But they are NOT going to win.
The arms manufacturers and the war parasites always win.

Politics, dogma, religion, race and beliefs aside, this must be one of the most unprecedented achievements in the history of mankind. So let's get this straight here. The most powerful, strongest, technologically and scientifically advanced military in the ENTIRE history of mankind now stands defeated and is submitting to the will of a group of firm believers in Islam and Allah swt...............:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.........you just couldn't make this up. It's SO TRUE when they say FACT is stranger than FICTION!............8-)

You mean the US and NATO , the most powerful alliance ever seen, beaten by goat herders who had the Kalashnikov in one hand and the holy Quran in the other.

How costly has the war been?
Extremely.
It's difficult to say how many Afghan troops have died - the numbers are no longer published. But in January 2019, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said 45,000 members of the security forces had been killed since 2014.
Nearly 3,500 members of the international coalition forces have died since the 2001 invasion, more than 2,300 of them American.
The figures for Afghan civilians are more difficult to quantify. A UN report in February 2019 said more than 32,000 civilians had died. The Watson Institute at Brown University says 42,000 opposition fighters have died.
The same institute says conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan have cost the US $5.9 trillion since 2001.
The US is still conducting air strikes against the Taliban, instigated by the third president to oversee the war, Donald Trump. But he is keen to reduce troop numbers before he faces another election in November 2020.
The Taliban now control much more territory than they did when international troops left Afghanistan in 2014.
Many in Washington and elsewhere fear that a full US troop pull-out would leave a vacuum that could be filled by militant groups seeking to plot attacks in the West.
The Afghan people, meanwhile, continue to bear the brunt of the long and bloody conflict.

.
Don't believe the fake news. 911 attacks were planned in Germany......not in Afghanistan. Taliban knew nothing about the operation, and had little interest in global terror attacks. Biggest flaw of the campaign was to lump Al Qaeda and the Taliban together. USA and NATO should have limited revenge ops to Al Qaeda, wiped them out, declared victory and gone home. It was a huge strategic miscalculation to make defeating the Taliban an objective as well. It turned the war into an unwinnable quagmire. If westerners don't know who the enemy is and how to defeat them.....then there better off withdrawing their forces.
They laughed at Gen Gull. Now who is laughing. May Allah give him janat ul firdos

A large part of Syria may be destroyed infrastructure-wise but the country is not destroyed, yet. I hope that war ends soon with Syrian patriots being the victors along with their foreign allies.

The entire basis of the West's rolling wars is to decapitate the capabilities of any Muslim country to challenge israel in war. Based primarily, on the eventual move by israel to demolish Masjid Al-Aqsa and build the Temple Mount in its place. For when such an event occurs, there would be a massive retaliation by Muslim States.

This is the principle reason why the West has been in a frenzy of getting Muslim States to recognize israel as a legitimate state. It is also the reason why Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen have been devastated by wars perpetrated by the West on the behest of the Zionists.

Syria would survive, even if it is broken and occupied by Western military, along with it's proxy terrorist groups for the last 10 years. As does Afghanistan, even if it's been under occupation by the Western military for the last 20 years.

It's chillingly obvious how the concentration of Western military forces is focused on the sites which are mentioned in prophecies by Nabi Muhammad Alaihi Salaat-u-Wassalam. Which is most certainly not a coincidence by any means. Of course the deaf, dumb and blind would call it a coincidence. But it's predictable, since they are devoid any actual intuitive intellect.

Time is the greatest revealer of the Truth. And time shall reveal it all, for those who have eyes with which to see, will see. Others will remain blind in their ignorance since they didn't bother to study the Noble Qur'an.

Stalemate is a strategic victory for the Taliban, their stated goals are only to resist the foreign invasion.....plus they control a large portion of the country already. USA and NATO's stated goals are to defeat the Taliban and turn Afghanistan into a liberal western democracy......both objectives have failed. Should have kept the war limited to Al-Qaeda, IMO.

stalemate is victory?

A stalemate means status quo.

Taliban lost governing, how then can it be a stalemate victory for them ?
