Taliban kills 21 kidnapped Pakistani soldiers

so what conditional peace were the baboons talking about?????

HUNT THEM DOWN !!!

What is incomprehensible is why the police are being deployed in such tactically sensitive areas. Why can't para military forces like the Frontier Corps or Pakistan Rangers be deployed here being better trained and equipped than the police? With a strength of a hundred thousand each, it's not as if they are short of manpower. Why can't they be pulled out from less sensitive locations and deployed in vulnerable areas like Jabai etc?

It doesn't seem that a proper analysis based on threat perception has been carried out of late. This being a dynamic situation, it is necessary to carry out such analyses at least every quarter and redeploy troops accordingly. Deploying an untrained police force ahead as the first line of defence on isolated posts having no mutual support is bad strategy.

Will the powers-that-be wake up now after so many have been slaughtered by the TTP and do some homework before more policemen meet the same fate?

Levies have the lowest budget, rendering it the "cheapest available law enforcement agency". However, many critics have contended that the force being mostly locals has been used by Baloch tribal chiefs to serve their own interests!! So what do you expect from them as a force?

Taliban militants have shot dead 21 Pakistani soldiers whom they had kidnapped earlier during an assault on two camps in the volatile northwest of the country.

Officials say the bodies were discovered shortly after midnight in the Jabai area of the Peshawar District. This comes after some 200 insurgents, armed with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons, stormed two government paramilitary camps outside the city of Peshawar on Thursday. Two security personnel were killed and another 23 were kidnapped.

One of the hostages managed to escape and another one was found seriously injured, top local official Naveed Akbar Khan said.

"We found 21 bullet riddled bodies of security personnel a short while ago in an uninhabited area," Khan told AFP. "One was found alive but wounded and admitted to hospital while another managed to escape unhurt."

“The hands of soldiers were tied with rope before they were shot," another government official Gul Shehzad said.

He added that the Taliban had accepted responsibility for the attack.

PESHAWAR: As many as 21 paramilitary soldiers abducted during a militant attack on check-posts on Thursday in FR Peshawar have been killed, Geo News reported Sunday.

Correspondent says the Levies personnel have been shot dead and their bodies have been dumped in Hasan Khel area of FR Peshawar.

He says that political officials and members of local Jirga were sent to the area to retrieve the bodies. All the bodies have been identified and families of the victims have been informed about the killings.

The proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed responsibility for the killings of security officials.

The shooting of the soldiers came a day after Pakistan Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud said in a video message the militants were willing to negotiate a ceasefire deal. However, he refused to disarm.
AFP adds,Taliban militants have shot dead 21 Pakistani soldiers who were kidnapped three days ago in northwest Pakistan, officials said.
The soldiers were abducted from two government paramilitary camps outside Peshawar on Thursday and the bodies were discovered about four kilometres away.

"We found 21 bullet riddled bodies of security personnel a short while ago in an uninhabited area," local government official Naveed Akbar told AFP.

"One was found alive but wounded and admitted to hospital while another managed to escape unhurt."

Gul Shehzad, another government official, said authorities received information just before midnight that some bodies were lying in the wilderness within about four kilometres of the camps.

"The hands of soldiers were tied with rope before they were shot," Shehzad told AFP.

He said Taliban militants had accepted the responsibility for the kidnappings.

I dont fucken get it. Pakistan has a strong *** defense force so why dont they just unleash hell on these garbage Talibs. RIPs to those policemen.

This is what we feared. One can't expect negotiations with TTP. Smoke them, bomb them and cut their heads. Mine the damn borders, you can handle US later on.

The porous border is itself an enemy along with the terrain. Unless border security is beefed up, one can't stop infiltrations.

Levis are below CRPF. CRPF is much more dangerous than BSF etc. Believe me, they are more capable of these anti terrorism operations, guerrilla warfare etc. If we had sent BSF in Naxal areas, we will be receiving body bags every day, in dozens.

Where are the people in favor of signing a truce and calling cease fire with these psychopaths ? :azn: Learn one thing - these bastards are like snakes never to be trusted , they will bite you even if you feed them milk , they have harmed our country in more ways than even any enemy can dream of ...

RIP to the brave souls !

BSF is paramilitary force whereas CRPF is central police force.

BSF is much better trained to handle insurgencies.
Incidentally, former BSF chief E N Ram Mohan, who was appointed by the Union Home Ministry to enquire into the causes and lapses for the April six Dantewada incident in which 76 securitymen lost their lives, had recently hinted that BSF and ITBP were better trained to handle insurgency.
"Preferably, in insurgency, BSF and ITBP should be deployed," he had said.

Till late 1989 the insurgents were dealt by police.
From 1990-1992 CRPF dealt with the militants.

Agreed but in urban warfare and guerrilla attacks, CRPF has also delivered result. Have met BSF people, they like CRPF and their way of working.

Because they are funded by our masters and we dare not harm their assets.

They weren't soldiers buddy. They were tribal police men. Anyway, I hope Pak army gets a wake up call and launches a full offensive and wipes these scums out. Enough is enough, too many people have died.

They are NA operatives, coming from across the border with co-operation of friends in interior ministry of Pakistan and local provincial govt.

We need to get rid of their covert friends in our govt. otherwise, no amount of offensive operation can bring any fruit.

Was Sawat operation any less in magnitude? We found regular Indian army commanding the terrorists in Sawat. they will flee to Afghanistan under the protection of ISAF and ANA.

There are lot of NGO's who are also working as intelligence and propaganda machines for terrorists.

Moles are embedded in key federal ministries. What do you think of Zardari? is he working for or against Pakistan? It gives you enough hint of rule of RAW over Pakistan's democrats and revolutionaries!

Taliban ne phir cho* k rakh de..When they were kidnapped they should have planned a rescue mission involving SSG.
Instead they let them die in pain and suffering this is true face of our higher command and forces now a days.

Why don't our military planners can give a GSM device to each soldier operating at Afghan border.
Why not our govt. plan to buy few squaderns of attack hellis.
