Months after the US and the Taliban signed a deal which Washington heralded as the way to end Afghanistan's war, violence is spiraling out of control

The Taliban on Monday claimed responsibility for an attack at a military centre in southern Helmand province in Afghanistan where at least 150 members of an Afghan army and intelligence wing were stationed.

The bombing occurred on Sunday night, government officials and Taliban said.

"Dozens of members belonging to the enemy forces have been killed and wounded in the attack," said Qari Yousuf Ahmedi, a spokesman for the group, in a statement.

I was wondering, do the Afghan Taliban have the right to rule? I am 100% against Karzai's government since that one is anti Pakistan, but will the Afghan Taliban be good for the Afghan people?

NDS is pretty much INDIANS.

In Afghanistan, India too has lost to Paksitan. Afghan Taliban are gaining more and more space with India or allies losing more and more - with no hope to counter them or regain power back.

We will see good things from Afghanistan in the coming years. Much needed peace has finally arrived.

No single group has the god given right to rule. Too much power corrupts any group so the ideal solution is a system with checks and balances to ensure that the system is not compromised and works for the benefit of the majority and not the few.

I see. I hope that whatever system of order is established in Afghanistan, it benefits the Afghans as well as it being pro-Pakistan (sorry about that haha). In retrospect, our countries should be allies rather than enemies. There's a lot of potential in a friendly political alliance between our countries. I don't know enough about the Afghan Taliban to know if they'll do any good, but hopefully Afghanistan is able to see a brighter future up ahead.

Yes, InshaAllah we'll see a soverign independent Afghanistan soon.

You are right. Afghanistan and Pakistan should be natural allies but in ordee for us to undo what our previous corrupt and inept leaders have done, we need to have an honest people to people dialogue to work out our differences and disagreements.
We have to rise above the limitations set on us by the colonial powers. We shouldn't let it define our future. I do see a bright future ahead for the people of both countries but only if we learn from our mistakes.

Afghan and Pakistani people share the same origin and culture. Unfortunately British robbed us of our ancestral link, which was Dari.

We must undo the Durand line by uniting both people towards a common cause. If we manage to benefit from each other's strong points, we could very well become the next big power in West and Central Asia.
