I am a guy with the fair opinions, and I won't say that the US is coward, but they are just a pragmatic country. They seem to use the dogmatism to brainwash their little friends, but in the reality they still use the pragmatic way to run their country.

The US is just not as powerful as a decade ago, and they don't want to engage into a death fight as long as it is not a direct threat to their existence.

If this was happening in a decade ago, and I do believe that the US would indeed do something serious to slap China in the face.

But today, it is just not worthy for something that trivial.

Do you have any idea how many taiwanese are living in mainland? Could be one million. The reason why many Chinese moved out is not due to CCP's rule. More Indians are moving out of India in the mean time. Could we attribute the reason to the bullshit democracy or freedom? Over populated countries are always the source of immigrants. And China is in the process of industrialization. Those who like clean environment and slow life tend to emigrate to other countries.
