yup. The part people of HK don't like is the CPC going back on the terms of agreement. The Taiwanese see that and know that CPC is not to be trusted, so have started anti CHina
There's no agreement with Hong Kong. There was an agreement with Britain which was vaguely worded. Different interpretations. You seem to have the misconception that China negotiates with HK. Nobody negotiates with a colony.
Funny thing is, the only reason that Taiwan is even able to think it is independent was due to the backstabbing of the KMT. If they did not backstab the CPC in 1920's then CPC might have remained a local Shanghai party and if they did not backstab the CPC post WW2 and agreed to elections, the CPC might have been a national party of the ROC. Instead they made 2 fateful choices to resort to force, and the result is here today.
