We could help them as we have no issue for several decades so far.

That's ok , I don't really care who rules China. Be it Nationalists or Communists. PRC doesn't have any problem with ORC in South China Sea, we have a tacit agreement that those islands have to be in Chinese hands. Same is also true for Diaoyu islands

PRC will never attack Taiping islands. They even help our ships with fresh water. but we will surely attack Vietnamese occupied islands in the future, just like we did in 1974 and 1988.
