Taiwan may be a small country but because of its advanced technology and solid base, it gives tough competition to a big country like China.
A 20-member delegation from Taiwan led by Chien-Nan Kuo, CEO, Yu Tong Steel has reached out to Indian investors to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries.

This trade mission is represented by various sectors including hardware, livestock, poultry, food processing, water treatment, education, software, steel, metal, air-cooling, engineering, electrical and solar power. The main objective of this mission is to explore investment opportunities in India as well as seek Indian investment into their country.

“Taiwan is a very important market for international investors and is seen as a good testing market for Asia,” Emma Yang, Director of Taipei World Trade Centre said during an interactive meeting here.

What's wrong even Chinese doing business with Taiwan . So India will help Taiwan for economic development

The language used in the article is interesting, treating Taiwan as a separate nation ;)
Taiwan is a separate nation .You have any doubt on that ? It don't comes understand CPC judiciary . If taiwan want to be part of China ? No problem with India .Until unless we get business :D

India has traditionally maintained One China policy.

However it is in India's best interest China and Taiwan are never united :)

I'm surprised India is not trying to sell Brahmos.

Oh Luca buca why don't you sell your nose ?

No way .We don't have any of these views . Its too far from us. We leave it to concerned party to choose their future bilaterally . This where we stand :)

No sense to maintain such a policy as long as China disputes borders & raises questions on Kashmir.

We can maintain it on paper, but not practice in reality ;)

I often feel American stance with regard to Taiwan is cruelest joke on Chinese sovereignty.

Greater cooperation with Taiwan has massive benefits for our semi-conductor industry and larger Make in India effort.
Plus PRC occupied with Taiwan keeps their focus off South Asia.

I don't think Taiwan is part of India's One China policy. Tibet sure is.

If Taiwan is part of India's One China, its time to scrap it.We need some more bargaining chips against china.

actually by law if if one recognizes ROC the relations with the PRC is cut, same with recognizing the PRC over the ROC. so instead of gaining bargaining chips all your have done is locked yourself out of one of the worlds biggest markets and severed any military/government communications, which will possibly lead to miscommunication and conflict. oh btw the ROC territory claims are larger than PRC claims. theres is a very good reason, most countries dont recognize the ROC as the legitimate government of china, if bargaining chips can be had, you would think the US would have switched back.

I m not saying recognizing ROC as legitimate government , only making change in viewpoint and telling China, we recognize there is dispute and want peaceful, something like china is doing with indian territory claims. But making sure we are playing it to gallery

We have to be devil to play with devil.
