TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan Defence Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng said on Thursday the island will not start a war with China amid a rise in tensions across the sensitive Taiwan Strait.

“The Republic of China absolutely will not start a war,” Chiu told the parliament, referring to Taiwan’s official name.

You're right. China needs to learn from Uncle Sam how to recreate Hongkong 2019 and Arab Spring in Taiwan. They need to be creative. Because it is DPP Tsai Ing Wen and her crony that the real China's enemy in the isle.

Armed force in Taiwan is still largely a KMT assert, many of their senior commanders come from mainland, and are actually oppose the idea of Taiwan independence, that's why the Green party and even the US don't trust them.

In case of war, I would not be surprised if many of Taiwan force simply surrender to the PLA outrightly, or even rebel against the current government of Taiwan.
