T-Minus Eight Years: China Sets Launch Date for Space Station

JAXA already cooperates with multinational governments on disaster preparation through satellite reporting of storm forecasts, flooding et al. I don't see the reason why JAXA cannot cooperate with Chinese, Russian as well as American counterparts. We already cooperate and maintain a positive rapport with the Russian counterpart. This is irrespective of political differences.

If this is the case, then there is a strong possibility of EU, Russian and JAXA cooperation in this project. Unlike some, we respect international freedom of science.

I agree. Space exploration is a Species-Wide project. This is for the good of the entire species...

Loool lmao. Nihonji, you are joking right?
JAXA cooperating with CNSA ? That must be the joke of the century.
The U.S hasn't giving permission for china and even India to join the ISS. In fact the U.S has even enacted a law which prohibits any Chinese visiting/getting close to any NASA facilities, much less cooperating with them. So to think the U.S will allow Japan to work/cooperate with the Chinese in space all but laughable with all due respect.

Except if japan Japan is willing to go against the U.S (which I doubt). Japan is doing just fine at the moment being part the ISS and cooperating with the U.S. So I don't see why Japan should seek to cooperate/partner with CNSA. It doesn't get much from doing so, other than incuring the wrath of the U.S.

In fact even Russia who is so called 'Chinas friend/partner' doesn't cooperate that much with China in space, for they themselves don't want a future competitor.:disagree:

So there will be no JAXA and CNSA cooperation. Not for a longgggg time.

. .
First of all, the USA has banned China from the ISS, so the topic is a non-starter. China did have several countries, including Germany, conducting research on Tiangong-1, but further cooperation will be difficult because the US has effectively put sanction on Chinese space programs and European countries are afraid of the US.

So does Russia, India, China and say South Africa, are also afraid of USA? Has China offered any countries or rather asked any countries for cooperation?

There's no harm in wishing for cooperation, mate. Besides, I was expressing my own personal opinion, not the Japanese Government's.

Awwww.....yes I know bro. Its good to wish for cooperation between neighbours. Unfortunately reality is different. Geo politics won't let us human beings do such things. That's the sad reality.
Its good to see you wish for such cooperation though. :-)
