Defense Industry Directorate (SSB) and Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii A.Ş., in order to meet the needs of the heavy armed helicopter of the Turkish Armed Forces. (TUSAŞ) signed the Heavy Class Assault Helicopter Project (ATAK 2) on February 22, 2019. The project will be implemented in the light of the capabilities and technologies obtained from the T129 Atak and T625 Helicopter projects. The first test flight is planned to be made within 5 years (60 months). It is planned that two types of the helicopter will be developed in Land and Sea configurations and a total of 3 prototypes will be delivered to the SSB together with the Technical Data Package. The duration of the project is foreseen as 8.5 years (102 months).Any news about ATAK 2 as to when will it be ready?
