It seems that we see the proliferation of Iranian systems more with foreign militias than Iranian troops.?????

A series of photos allegedly showing Iranian Aras high mobility multipurpose military vehicles in Syria has appeared online. Previously, such vehicles were received by the Popular Mobilization Units during an active phase of the anti-ISIS campaign in Iraq. Now, it looks that Iran has started supplying them to Syrian government forces.

Is this Truck available for commercial sale as well?

If I remember correctly Aras use 16 liter fuel per 100 KM(need source) so not good choice for civilian use but big armies don't have fuel problem and they need something powerful and reliable to do the job

at least in one field our industry can compete against Japan

Damn, so many technicals in Syria sporting ZU-23-2.

What are some of those weapons at the back? Not all of them look like Zu's but their all covered up.

I love this vehicle though, It can be used as fire support(AA guns), Artillery (mobile mortars), Anti-Tank (Toophan), transport troops, supplies. Presumably All-terrain. Perfect.

Well, they do look like Zus to me.

It's fine for militia, but for our own military I wouldn't want it to be used in any combat role.

Yup, at the very most, the Aras should find itself in light mobile brigades and nothing more. I don't wanna see these in any Armored or mechanized units.

and our force in Iran are using world war era vehicles or civilian vehicles ... good job IRI ...

That old hilux is a 2700cc pickup... giving 8 km per litre.

Dual use hombre ... AAG & anti personnel use.

Over kill in my opinion.

A 12.7 DSHK is enough.

Some videos from a few years back when it was first introduced and came into production
Iranian copy of humvee.

You can see the Turks carrying modified Toyota Pick ups with an unknown gun mounted on the back on tank carriers. also, their troop movement is with Mercedes trucks. It shows that the leadership in Iran has made a decision to build and manufacture light armed in vehicles with local productions. The Turks buying from abroad. The importance of small versitale armed 4x4 must have been realized over the years fighting the Kurd terrorists and the sub-human Salafi beasts in Syria.
