S-200s use high explosive fragmentation warheads. What your seeing are exploding S-200 missiles, not intercepted Tomahawks. Syria air defenses only fired AFTER the US had already hit its targets.

It’s no secret by now that some of those missiles have been downed, others clearly hit nothing but empty fields bases on satellite imagery.

Russia challenged to shoot down missiles, which their weapon systems did through supplying Syrian military. Trump said he will send new advance missiles, the chemical facilities are leveled by new JASSMs fired from B-1B Bombers. So yeah.. the new stealthy missiles are effective on battlefield.
