Swizerland goes on to introduce Draconian laws

Don't see anything draconian in it. Any person staying in another country has to follow the rules of the state. Many in this forum may consider the Saudi laws too harsh, but I don't see many complaints from them, so what if a western country tries to enforce stricter rules.

Draconian laws??? Better take a visit to Saudi Arabia and that should give you an idea of what is meant by draconian. I would much rather be expelled from the country than have assorted body parts including my head cut off. At least a woman who gets raped in Switzerland won't have to endure 100 lashes when she complains about it.

My dear friend, every country has the right to enact laws according to their beliefs and constitution. I certainly don't like the Sharia laws in many Muslim countries that forbid me from even worshiping my own God properly. But I understand and respect that it is their culture and simply stay away from there as I can't live under such laws. If you don't like the Swiss laws, simply stay out of Switzerland, instead of going around screaming about Islamophobia. It's their country, not yours and they quite simply don't care what you feel about their laws.

What a logic... if immigrant commit a crime its giving bad name if blond hair is committing crime its not giving bad name!

This logic also comes from many pakistani friends about Afghans as well, what can you say about that? A few individual Afghans commit crime in pakistan and pakistanis especially in here call for their mass deportation and talk really low about the rest of them(refugees) who have nothig to do with the criminals. This is how it is, in europe, pakistan and else where.

Don't worry, you Indians will earn a lot out of these new laws...

I don't think there is anything wrong with this law as long as it will be done keeping the degree of crime in mind, which of course would be the case. Otherwise no one will go to Switzerland fearing that ill be deported if i'll drive over the speed by mistake.

And i think the local population should be given some priority because when a host country allows immigrants to come and work, its actually doing a favor to them by sharing the opportunities which are there for natives.

Since mostly immigrants are from under developed countries they usually take a lot of negative things along with them from ill manners to crimes. So its not a bad thing if they want to keep themselves clean.

Here in gulf countries if an individual is found guilty for a serious legal charge like theft, rape, murder etc then he is jailed and later deported.

In short why should a host take bads when all it offers is good!!

The other thing was about finances...How much third world countries benefit financially from a little country like Switzerland and how much they benefit from third world countries from where most immigrants are? Most people in the swiz referendum voted in favor of the law because they think the money they have is all theirs,and the migrants are unduly there to steal it from them...This mentality has to be tackled somehow,and they need to be shown that the so called third world countries re important,and its their good image that's earning money for them abroad.

Although there is a big money in Switzerland (very expensive country hence good wages too)

But nobody really bothers to go and live in Switzerland... Beautiful country indeed but the whole country is busy in tourism, textiles and chemical industries. Unemployment is close to nothing

Who among the migrants will bother to do a crime when they are too little in numbers and are mostly employed... very barbaric law they are introducing but will not effect many peoples

Actually i am a British National+Pakistani national...Dual nationality...Something you poor Indians cant have....

and fortunately in Britain we are well treated,and this country on government level is much more accepting towards us than many European countries.

Very different...The child gets Mother's nationality.Being born in many European countries means nothing really....
Countries like Greece wont accept any ethnic foreigners as their National..I have seen third Generation Egyptians still living on Egypt Passport.
